Rating: Summary: A truly magical book with a hero to die for! Review: Daris-a conservative djinni, dark and dangerous, meets Isis Montgomery, the fisty mortal that is slated to become his wife. The problem is that Darius does not want a wife--mortal or djinni--but prophecy has declared he must marry this mortal in order to recover the one thing by which he defines himself--his magical powers. It is a pleasure to watch his dark and powerful personality come alive as he attempts to deal with his mortal intended. Isis is fablous heroine who is struggling to overcome smothering family ties as well as a physical disability--dyslexia--while trying to make a success of her perfurm business. Darius is her last chance, by helping her find the formula to a haunting perfume that can only be obtained on his home world. The last thing she needs to deal with is a beligerant djinni, no matter how devestatingly handsome he is, yet the each need something from the other, so the bargin is struck. Together, they find out what is truly important in life, to both djinns and mortals, and this is deep and lasting love. This is a wonderful story of reflection, growth, and stirring passion. It truly deserves a 5 star rating.
Rating: Summary: Truly MORE THAN MAGIC / a stinger out of the ordinary plot Review: Darius, the hero, a djinni, beautiful, mesmerizing, as dangerous as a man could be. His dark, star-kissed eyes promised exquisite joys, yet it was common knowledge he had no intention of taking a wife. Ever. Isis Montgomery, the heroine, a mortal was fated to be the wife of Darius. Knowledge of his true name would give a mortal woman power over the arrogant djinni, and an age-old enemy had carefully baited the trap. Isis would snare his attention, and the spell whe'd been given would bind him to her. JUst as Isis was saying the final words Darius was coming to accept his fate of being married to her. Isis has a store called Dream Scents where she dreams up wonderful scents for aromatherapy. The reason she is willing to call up the djinni is she has been promised the way to get a special scent that only a djinni can provide. Darius wants Isis for his wife for his own reasons. He needs her to balance his power on his own world and knows she is the one to do it. - however - he falls in love with her. Of course she finds out he needed her for the saving of his country and married her without her knowing what she was doing and gets all pushed out of shape. Of course she ends up with the special perfume that comes from Darius's country and Darius. I loved this book - it is really different. today I have ordered the first book of the series WISHES COME TRUE and I can't wait to get it. I normally do not review a book but there is no syopsis of this book listed and there needed to be one of sorts so you have mine.
Rating: Summary: A Good Book, But Wishes Come True Was Better Review: I bought this book on the basis that Wishes Come True was an excellent book. I loved how Ms. Nance brought her characters to life. I enjoyed reading More Than Magic, but something was missing. I would have enjoyed it more if the character had more life, chemistry...something I can't put my finger one!Good book, I look forward to Ms. Nance's next book. Keep writing, I'll keep reading and buying!!!
Rating: Summary: This is a book that could have been so much better! Review: I couldn't believe this book was so bad, after all the good reviews. It sounded interesting, but overall it was just plain boring. I kept hoping it would get better and it never did. I bought it on an Amazon recommendation - which was a mistake. If you want to read a good romance, read Dara Joy's Matrix of Destiny Series (Knight of a Trillion Stars, Rejar, Mine to Take). Don't waste your time or money on this book! Trust me, you can do so much better!
Rating: Summary: I would give this 5 stars just for the hot cover model! Review: I didn't read the first one wishes come true, yet. But I must say that I really enjoyed this book. I wish I could find a hot Djinn like Darius... or maybe just someone who looked like the model on the cover .
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL ... A KEEPER! Review: I loved this book! A strong plot, wonderful characters ... magic! Ms. Nance really brought this book together...More Than Magic is a keeper!
Rating: Summary: Magical, Mesmerizing, Sensuous Review: I really enjoyed reading, Wishes Come True, and was impressed with Darius loyality and friendship with Simion the bound (Djinni). So I went out and bought Darius's book, and was not disappointed. Darius -beautiful, mesmerizing and as dangerous as a man or (Djinni) in this case can be, meets Isis Montgomery, the feisty mortal that is prophesied by divine inspiration to become his wife. The problem is that Darius does not want a wife... especially a human wife. Believing that humans to be an ambitious, greedy lot. With very little redeeming quality. However prophecy has declared he must marry this mortal in order to recover the one thing by which he defines himself--his magical powers. Darius proves to be a deliciously arrogant male, who knows his worth and teaches Isis that despite her dyslexia she too is alluring, talent woman. I loved this book with its strong plot, wonderful characters. It's a well-written, wonderful book full of twists and turns. I have read this book about five times now and plan to read it several more times
Rating: Summary: Great read Review: I really enjoyed this one. It is a keeper for me, and you should read it
Rating: Summary: Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! Review: I stayed up until 2 a.m. last night finishing this book. I really enjoyed the previous one, Wishes Come True, went out and got Darius's book right away, and was not disappointed. Isis's difficulties with dyslexia and her prowess with perfumes were a unique twist, and the djinni hero . . . oh, be still, my heart! Darius is the kind of hero I always love--commanding, seductive, and a typical stubborn male who has to be dragged into love kicking and screaming. I loved every minute of this book, and I'm sure you will, too.
Rating: Summary: This book was wonderful!!! Review: I'm not sure who gave it a 3 star rating, but it really didn't deserve that! It's a wonderful book, in my opinion. Great story, good characterization.... I really enjoyed it! It's one of my favorite fantasy romances actually, rating near to Dara Joy. :-)
