Summary: A fun summer read
Review: I enjoyed this book. I thought that the characters were well developed and witty. They were perfect for each other and there were plenty of suspects for the whodunnit that made it difficult to figure out who the "bad guy" was. Still, I did not like the fact that the heroine of the book had been married and engaged twice before. It made her seem a little shallow and I didn't think it was necessary. Plus, we didn't hear very much about either of their pasts and I would have liked to know more about them. But, all in all, fun and fast. I would recommend it.

Summary: A delightful new voice in Romance
Review: Mallory Kane impressed me with her strong voice. Some writers come by this instinctively, other work at it, some never find it. Kane is a strong in this area so she makes this tense tale very enjoyable. She is also very strong in creating character that leap of the pages, so I see more enjoyable tales from this fresh writer. I will be ordering her other works due to the strength of this book.

Holly Frasier's life is clouded in troubles. Her husband died mysteriously, and then years later, a fiancée vanishes. Warning bells really sounds when the detective investigating the situation dies too. It's enough to bring in the FBI to protect Holly.

Making a target of himself Jack O'Hara goes through a fake marriage with Holly. The detective who died was Jack's good friend. Before his death he and contacted Jack about the case, but Jack had been too busy to get involved. So he is not only
out to protect Holly, but avenge his friends murder.

Holly is attracted to the sexy FBI man, but resents her presence in her life. She does not want to believe some man - a man she knows - is killing anyone who loves her.

Kane is a clear, polished writing signaling she is a writer to watch.

Review: Someone was watching her.... And leaving her disturbing poems and handwritten notes signed "Forever, Yours." The man entered Holly Frasier's house silently, taking her most cherished personal possessions and taunting her with the subtle threats that he was always nearby.

Summary: A fun summer read
Review: The stalker seems to be able to do anything he wants to Holly Frasier no matter what safeguard she employs. He kills those she loves with three dead in her hometown of Maze, Mississippi and he knows her every move. He silently enters her house without leaving any incriminating evidence except what he wants left behind. The culprit steals anything that Holly cherishes while also leaving her disturbing poetry of adulation insisting that she belongs to him and notes signed "Forever, Yours."

Desperate for the offender to be stopped before the perpetrator kills her as she expects, Holly agrees to what seems to her is a harebrained scheme. She will pretend to be married to FBI agent Jack "Ice Man" O'Hara. However, not long after they begin their sham of a marriage, Jack and Holly fall in love, but so far the wrongdoer continues his unabated terror campaign with Jack now being a target of his ire as just the latest person she loves that he must destroy.

Title aside, fans of taut romantic intrigue with a strong accent on the suspense will immensely enjoy BODYGUARD/HUSBAND. The lead couple is a delightful pair struggling to survive against a clever murderer while falling in love with one another. The transformation of Jack from frozen heart to loving protector is realistic and quite thrilling to observe. The story line is loaded with action and though the killer is obvious from even before the beginning, Mallory Kane provides a strong police procedural romantic suspense that never slows down until the final confrontation.
