Summary: A good, fun read.
Review: I loved this follow up to Hodge's first novel. I like her characters and am amazed by her ability to write so well about men..to get in their heads. Some have said they like this book better that the first, I am not so sure I agree..but I can't wait for the next one!!

Summary: A NEW DAY....A NEW FAN....
Review: I loved this little book (read the paperback version)...it held my interest...the characters were very well developed and the intimate scenes....made the pages of the book.....steam up! Margaret....please add me to your list of fans...you are an awesome story teller. I started this book on vacation...and really enjoyed it. Sometimes I wanted to jump in the story and hit Carol Ann over her head with a tree...but it was very well written story. Thanks for also sharing how the daughter acted once she started...."feeling grown"....as we know our kids can act. I loved it! keep up the good work. I celebrate your God given talent...only He (God) can create such a fine gift....storytelling!

Summary: It was FANTASTIC!!!
Review: I picked up this book one day while shopping in Wal-Mart. Never did I imagine this book would be so good. "A New Day" was simply superb. The writing style is very refreshing and somewhat laid back. The main character Carol-Anne is a single mom trying to raise her daughter. She has made some bad choices in her life and is trying to learn how to deal with those choices. Carol-Anne is a wonderful character. You actually feel for her and root for good things to happen to her. The man she meets, Max, is someone I wish I'd had run into. He's a dream, he isn't perfect, but he is honest, generous, caring, supportive and wants to better Carol-Anne's life. I just loved the story and how it ended and everything about was soo good. Margaret Johnson-Hodge, you did a great job and I look forward to reading your other book.

Summary: Very Interesting Read!!
Review: I read the first book the author wrote and this one, and I can identify more with this book. This lady had a guy that loved her but I feel she wasn't ready and needed to grow and get her own space in order to enjoy him and that is what happened. I guess I identify with this book because I am newly divorced and a single parent to boot. It is a interesting read and gives you hope.

Review: I really enjoyed A New Day. It was great to find out how Max preceived his relationship with Semone (The Real Deal). I assume that Jon's version is forthcoming - can't wait.

Summary: "Life is truly a struggle"
Review: I really enjoyed this book seeing that I'm a single divorced mother having to hit the dating scene "AGAIN". I haven't read the first book yet but I've got it ordered! I started this book "A New Day" and couldn't put it down found myself reading everywhere I went and telling everybody about it chapter by chapter keeping them on the edge of their seats. I can't wait to get my hand on "The Real Deal"

Summary: A New Day
Review: I really enjoyed this title. The story is fast-paced and the author develops her characters to the fullest. It's refreshing to read a book that I can relate to. The main characters, Max and Carol-Anne are characters brought back to life from the first book entitled, "The Real Deal." Excellent book for all to enjoy.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I could not put this book down
Review: I thought this book was so true to life. I loved the characters and the fact that this book was not sugar coated or hollywood. I grew up with the author and Maggie (I am the only one that can call her that) your friends in New York are so proud of you. Keep on writing.
