Rating: Summary: A Fine Romance Review: Even if you don't think of yourself as the "type" who reads romances, you will enjoy this book, and if you are a romance fan, you will fall head over heels for it! Shirley Jump has written a funny, engaging page-turner that is just perfect for curling up with on a cold winter's day... or if you read it when it's warm outside, better make sure you have air-conditioning or ice, because it's a hot one! Jump has created two totally realistic characters, an intelligent and spunky heroine and a tall, dark and sexier-than- all-get-out hero. Of course there are obstacles in the path to their shared happiness, and of course you know there will be a happy ending, but Jump puts the pieces into place with such originality and charm that you will find yourself completely caught up in these people's lives and anxious to know how everything resolves itself. The dialogue is dead-on, the feelings and emotions the characters express are natural, and the love scenes positively sizzle. Put some love, laughter and libido in your life -- read The Virgin's Proposal!
Rating: Summary: This one goes in my keeper file! Review: Funny and touching, this book shows the true healing powers of love. This is the best romance I've read in a very long time. I love a good bad boy, and Matt is irresistible! Both he and Katie are complex, well-rounded characters. They're so real that you want to have a beer and pizza with them and laugh over their early courtship.
Rating: Summary: Romance with real soul! Review: Good girl trying to go bad (a litle). Bad boy trying to go good (a lot). One chance meeting in the grocery store and BAM, half the town thinks they're engaged! How does this happen and where does the banana suit fit in? You'll have to read this and see! You won't be disappointed. Shirley Jump has a way w/ romances.

Rating: Summary: A terrific ride! Review: I love it when a story pulls me along and leaves me begging for more - and that's exactly what The Virgin's Proposal did with its mixture of comedy, romance, and suspense. I laughed, I became desperate for answers, I cried, and I laughed again. What more could you want? A terrific, light-hearted and uplifting story!
Rating: Summary: A fantastic debut! Review: Katie Dole is ready for a change...but is she ready for Matt Webster? He's been gone for a decade but his resident bad-boy image is still very much in place as he roars into town on his Harley. Their first meeting is interesting, mainly because Katie's wearing a banana suit. The second time they meet? They're kissing in the supermarket! What begins as a ruse soon grows into something bigger...something important. Maybe love? But before Katie and Matt can truly commit to each other they'll both have to let go of the past. Is their love strong enough for that? Humor and emotion pack this fantastic debut novel by Shirley Jump.

Rating: Summary: This novel doesn't disappoint! Review: Katie Dole is the kind of woman a modern reader can admire: she's entrepreneurial, independent, creative, and (seems to have) no rich relatives to bail her out of a financial quagmire--that is, her floundering flowers-and-gifts business. Matt Webster comes from, and has his own, money but that's not what he's about. And he's not the typical romance hero who was burned once long ago and--a million or so lovers later--is still determined to never love again. These two come together to forge a relationship that all modern women can appreciate. After reading this kind of quality in Shirley Jump's debut novel, I can't wait to read what comes next!
Rating: Summary: A MUST READ!!! Review: Shirley Jump has impressed me with her first book so I am sitting on pins and needles waiting on more to come! Matt is a hero with humor, heart and a past. His story proves that money doesn't make happiness and you can't help but love him as he struggles with his history and loss. Katie is a funny heroine that has lived under the watchful eyes of an entire community. She decides to "let it all hang out" and enjoy life. You laugh with her. You cry with her and you embrace the love that she and Matt have. Ms. Jump proves that you can STILL write a story that has depth without making the hero some egotistic snob. I fell in love with Matt right along with Katie. Now I have to add Shirley Jump to my favorite authors list! Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Julia Quinn, Kathleen Kane / Maureen Child and Shirley Jump.... It can't get much better than this!!
