Summary: Funny, tender, wacky, and wild!
Review: A luminous medieval romance of Teleri, a Welshwoman, and the English knight she rescues. Their love story is poignant, hilarious, absurd, sexy, and completely fabulous. A wonderful read!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Wonderful follow-up to Wonderful!!
Review: Every now and then you take a chance on a book and are pleasantly surprised. Both Wonderful and Wild the follow-up were my very pleasant surprises! I am now a Jill Barnett fan!!! I thought she did a wonderful job of combinding both humor and passion into the lives of her characters, and I espicially loved Teleri's animals. And how truer can words be than if you have faith it will happen...

A great read...a great keeper....grab a box of hankies for the tears of laughter and the tears of a broken heart or two and enjoy!!!

Summary: Couldn't get into it....
Review: I hate to go against the grain in a forum of so many positive reviews...But I tried to read "Wild" and just couldn't get into it. I guess I'm not a big fan of books with 'psychic healers.' This has been done to death in historical romance, and is an instant 'hook' writers use to make the heroine sympathetic. Wild is no exception. I liked the idea that the heroine was a recluse. But the heroine constantly referring to the hero as "English" wore on my nerves.

Worse still, the hero Roger was your typical drunken womanizer. Unfortunately I couldn't muster much interest in finishing this book.

Summary: All romances should be this good!
Review: I have never read a book by Jill Barnett that did not end up on my keeper self -- WILD was no exception. I laughed and cried and fell in love with Teleri and Roger. The only problem, I cannot wait for WICKED, the third and final book in Jill Barnett's medevial triology!!

Summary: Not too bad...
Review: I have read all of JB's medieval triology, my favorite is Wicked. In this book, I didn't particularly enjoy Roger's character. There seems to be something missing, especially after reading about him in Wonderful. However, the heroine, Teleri, intrigued me. I liked her boldness and innocence at the same time. I also enjoyed Teleri's grandmother, Old G... I felt sorry for Teleri when the children threw stones at her. I was glad Roger straighten that out for her too. The book overall, have some funny parts and romance but wasn't as heart quenching as I thought it would be. I bought and kept this book only because it is part of a trilogy and part of WICKED, which I enjoyed most of all.

Summary: Thank goodness I have this book!!!!
Review: I have read this book over and over again. It doesn't grow old on you! It follows Roger FitzAlan, who we were introduced to in Jill's book Wonderful. Don't worry, you don't have to read Wonderful first to enjoy this book. (I read Wild first by accident.)

Wild was the first book I read by Jill Barnett, and I was blown away by how real the story and charachters were. Teleri is such a genuine good soul, who lives in the woods and cares for animals because they don't hurt you like humans do. Shunned by her town, she isolates herself in her little house. Roger FitzAlan is almost killed, left to hang in the woods. Teleri finds him and drags him back to her house. She doesn't like him because the last time they met he was chasing her, thinking she stole his friend's horse. But, she knew she had to save him.

Roger is quite sick, and thrashes about as Teleri trys to care for him. She binds his hands and legs to keep him from hurting himself or her. When he wakes up, he doesn't know who killed him and doesn't know where he is. He sees animals in cages (animals she resuced and is nursing back to health) and thinks Teleri is holding him hostage. Thus sets the stage for the tug of war between these two. Can they overcome everything and fall in love? Will Roger find out who tried to kill him, even if it means he has to leave Teleri and risk his life to do so?

This book gets five stars because you don't feel like you are reading fiction. I feel like I'm reading a story of love from long ago, and it touches me every time I read it. Just writing this makes me want to go read it again now...hmmm..think I will!

Summary: Enchanting & tender - romance the way it was meant to be.
Review: I loved this one. Although not based on a fairy tale, WILD has a beautiful, very romantic, fairy-tale feel to it. The heroine, shunned by the town because they fear she's a witch, lives in a tiny isolated shack and spends her time caring for wounded beasts. When she stumbles across an injured man (who turns out to be a knight), she can't help but drag him back to her home to heal him. Her honesty, gentle ways and lifestyle change him forever and make him look at life differently. This story has some very funny moments as these two very different people get to know each other, but it's also one of the most tender and loving romances I've read in a while and I thought it was extremely sensual. Their love is apparent in every word, touch, look and action they share and there are lots of moments to "sigh" over. An all-around fantastic romance.

Summary: Not up to her usual standard, but still a good read.
Review: I was expecting more from Ms Barnett. Her Wonderful, Bewitching, Imagine and Dreaming really broke me up into tears and laughter. Wild is a sweet story, though not as compelling as the earlier books. I like Teleri and Roger, but I prefer the Roger in Wonderful than here. His character seems more real to me there than here. Still, I have been and will most likely always be a Jill Barnett fan. She can really come up with stories that touch our hearts and souls - through and through.

Summary: I love Jill Barnett!
Review: I've read almost every book Jill Barnett has written. She has an exceptional way to mix romance and humor, which always results in great books. "Wild" does not dissapoint. It has laughter, romance, and intrigue, all combined to make another excellent book by Jill Barnett.
