Review: I once again enjoyed another book from Mr. Channer. I also love his descriptive way of making you feel that you are transported to the location of his story. The character were nicely developed and I was captured by the story. Bravo to Mr. Channer.

Review: I enjoyed "Satisfy My Soul" tremendously. However, the ending left me feeling a little like I had just fallen off a cliff. It seemed a bit abrupt, after the slow, methodical depictions of the characters and the intricate relationships developed throughout the book. I guess I've grown accustomed to the "they lived happily ever after" (in this life) kind of ending.Looking forward to your next novel. Stay well. Genuinely,

Summary: Magical,Mystical, ....WOW!
Review: I fell in love with Colin after I read "Waiting In Vain" and I have bought several copies for friends because I refused to part with my book. "Satisfy My Soul" everything and more. This is the story of two people, Carey McCullough and Frances Carey, whose lives are entertwined together. As they discover themselves through history, religion and love, the reader is caught up in a very sensual and lyrical experience that will not let you go. The reader gets to experience so much from this story - African American history, Jamacian history, religion, philosophy, self-worth and awareness and much more. Colin also has a way with geography that captures you and puts you in the midst of what the characters are feeling. It is amazing how Colin puts so much emotion, detail in one book. It fills you up and holds you there. The experiences make you crave for more and allows you imagination to take you to that place that you hold for that special someone. This is the place that Carey and Frances wanted to share but they could not. It is awesome!!!! I truely loved this story and will read it again, and again, and again. Thank you Colin. Summary: reawakening of my passion for reading
Review: Satisfy My Soul, unlike other love stories, depicts real people in the most extraordinary situations and what drives them to do the things they do. Colin sets the stage so beautifully, so lyrically that even one with little imagination can picture it as though watching a movie.
If you haven't gotten this yet, I suggest you do so immediately.
I await with baited breath for the next novel.

Summary: YOU HAVE TO BUY AND READ THIS NOVEL!
Review: Colin Channer has out done himself with a greatt novel that takes you on a beautiful journey through these couples past and present lives. It grabs you, it makes you want to know more and learn more about Cary and Frances. Mr. Channer novel bring you back into the past when slavery was prominent and opens your mind to think could two loves transcend to the future, and then meet and then have a life together. I guess I am romantic, because I think so. If you ever had a problem with any relationship, read this novel because it covers Mother/Father, his best friend and a lost love that is found. I suggest you buy it and read it to start your own adventure.

Review: Colin Channer is a prolific writer who has the gift of placing you in the heart and soul of his characters. This is the second novel that I have read by Colin, and I must admit, I did not expect that he could have surpassed his last masterpiece. Thanks for making his material available - everyone should be reading this brother - he has something to say for the masses!!!

Summary: Satisfy My Soul
Review: After reading "Waiting in Vain" by Colin Channer, I knew his next novel , "Satisfy My Soul" would satisfy my thirst for more of his writings. I was not disappointed. The novel combines friendship, intimacy, love and the awakening of spiritual enlightenment. It is so refreshing to read the work of an author who is not afraid to examine the spiritual connection we all have with each other, not only in this life but in other lives as well. Channer advocates through his writings that men should not be afraid of their spirituality or their feminine side. I am encouraged to know that there are men out there who love from the soul out. I anxiously await Channer's next novel - he simply cannot write fast enough.

Summary: sticks to your mind
Review: I turned to this book after binging on literary junk food. I needed a break from the preprocessed, syrupy, books and needed something with substance. Satisfy my soul is real, gritty and very palatable. I read this book in short doses in hopes of letting the feeling of the characters and scenery last longer. I think that it is amazing that a book can transform any day into something special. I felt the characters struggles so deeply and am glad that I could not rush the ending I had to be prepared for it. Very recommendable.

Review: SATISFY MY SOUL is a fascinating journey into myth and magic and the meaning of the middle passage. Stylish, risky, jarring, lyrical, adventurous and shocking, it's one of the most finely crafted novels that I've read in years. Frances, Carey, Kwabena and Nazia are deep and broad-characters that will live with you and haunt you for weeks after you've turned the final page.

Summary: Another Level
Review: When I went to Colin Channer's book signing in Brooklyn I was only half way through the book. I gave him his props but told him I was feeling "Waiting In Vain" more (because I found Fire to be the type of man I wanted for myself). Before I finished "Satisfy My Soul", I realized that this book couldn't be compared to anything I've ever read from any author. Colin took it to another level. The brother went deeeep on me. I've read some serious books within the last couple of years and Satisfy My Soul is definitely in the top 5. I really enjoyed it and found it to be quite a page-turner. Although Waiting in Vain is a highly recommended read, Satisfy My Soul is giving you something to seriously think about.
