Rating: Summary: Could've been much more. Review: Don't get me wrong, I love Simon the djinn. I want to know the ritual to summon djinns like him to do the housework. This book, however, could've fun and wonderful if not for the heroine. She is one of those irritatingly too-independent heroine whom you need a crowbar to pry out anything from her. Tight-lipped to the point of not telling her own company partners the company's in trouble (that's irresponsible) I want to shake her silly after a while. She ruined the fun of the story. What was the author thinking?
Rating: Summary: Very Good Read Review: I had read Kathleen Nance's 2nd book, and enjoyed it so much I ordered this one. I enjoyed both and hope she keeps up the good writing. Wishes Come True was fun to read and a page turner.
Rating: Summary: A thoroughly enjoyable book! Review: I have a long commute to and from work, so I go through books to the tune of 2 to 3 a week. I gravitate to any genre of romance, though I tend to avoid books with glaring covers and big type print. Thus saying, I would like to put in a good word for Kathleen Nance's book Wishes Come True. The story was enjoyable even if I felt the plot was very predictable. I appreciate when writers add a lot of detail to their stories, showing that they have done their research on the book. Though this book is about fantasy, I felt the lack of details, the small touches which make a book a really great read. The characters are "friendly" and I enjoyed watching the interference of the secondary characters as the story unfolded.

Rating: Summary: fun read, but the heroine needed work Review: I love reading good fantasy romance, where the fantasy feels like an intergal part of the story. This was definitely the case with this book. Zoe, a practical single mother, agrees to help her best friend and her daughter to summon a djinni. Despite Zoe's skepticism, the spell works, and Simon the djinni is bound to grant her three wishes. Simon and Zoe are attracted to one another, but there's a lack of trust on either side: Simon has seen so much ugliness in humanity that he has trouble trusting Zoe, and Zoe has trouble trusting wishes because of the actions of her ex-husband. I actually ended up feeling more for Simon than for Zoe. In spite of all the reasons he had for not opening up, he actually turned out to be more willing to trust than Zoe. Zoe's stubborness was often really annoying - she didn't want to open up to her friends/business partners, and she didn't want to open up to Simon. She was probably the most exhausting character in the book. However, in my opinion, Simon made up for all of that, and I ended up really enjoying this book. I usually end up reselling romance that I buy, but I think this one's a keeper.

Rating: Summary: This couldn't get much better. Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was a little slow in the middle, but on the whole it was very good. Zoe was a really strong woman and is trying to do what a million of other women are trying to do. It is nice to read of one doing well and making it against all the odds.

Rating: Summary: This book is a "keeper". Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. Simon is the sort of djinni every woman would love to summon. The development of the relationship between Zoe and Simon was realistic. Love does take time to grow. The author also inserts some truisms without preaching. Hope she is planning to write another book soon. I've recommended it to all my friends who read romances. (The author and I share the same name which has made it even more fun to show the book to friends.)
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, with the sexiest genie this side of Earth! Review: I would never have thought I'd like a book with a genie as a hero, but this one delighted me. Simon is sexy beyond belief, and Nance creates an alternate world for genies that is believable, interesting, and captivating. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
