Summary: Not one of her best. She was just going through the motions
Review: Diana Palmer usually is one author that I pick up. I felt when I read this book, that she was just writing for sake of writing. The main characters I just could care a less about.

Review: I see someone my age with the same opinion in the same state. ^_^ The Princess Bride is a book by William Goldman, and it's *really* one of the best books there is, and if you like books at all you've gotta buy it. I read some of this (OK this is back to the feature book) book from a friend, it's horrible. (Hm, notice there are'nt any good ratings...except for the 2 stars of loyal fans who can't bear to give this title what it deserves.)

Summary: HORRIBLE STEALER!
Review: I was so disgusted. How dare she? When you write a book you need to find if the title you want to use has alredy been used. Not to mention this wasn't a very good book. You want to read a good book? Get the real THE PRINCESS BRIDE.

Summary: HOW DARE SHE!!!!!!!
Review: Okay girls, first of all, if you want a good book, the check out the OTHER princess bride, it has depth, comedy, action, swordfights, romance, miracles, giants, torture, revenge.... also, how can you read these things? they're nothing but books about a barbie who can't seem to get kens attention. and second, I am almost certain that she stole the title. I'm sorry, but what do you see in these things? the authors probably live in trailers and spend the money they make on dildos. I swear, I really don't see how you people can actually consider these things books. try some Dickens out for size (not like I'm trying to be rude-Au contraire, I just want you to live decent lives! Oh and you probably think I sound like your mom, well, surprise, surprise, I'm eleven :-)

Summary: The...what?
Review: The back cover of the book reads: "He was everything Tiffany Blair wanted. He was danger. He was love...and she was meant to spend forever with him. Trouble was, the almighty Kingman Marshall insisted marriage was for fools. But for better, for worse, Tiffany vowed she'd walk down the aisle as King's bride. She was young, beautiful...and totally off-limits. He was too old, too jaded and too burned with secrets to indulge in fantasies of happily-ever-after with sheltered virgins. But what he wouldn't give to carry the ravishing Miss Blair over the threshold to womanhood. Be careful what you wish for..."

Althought I like Diana Palmer very much and I've read lots of her books, I have to say that I was disappointed by this one. There just weren't any real emotional connections between the hero and the heroine. The ending was lacking and the whole plot was a bit...flat.

Try "Color Love Blue," "Dark Surrender" (written as Diana Blayne), or "Fire Brand" (written as Susan Kyle) for great stories.

Summary: Other reviewers are idiots...
Review: To give a book you haven't even read a bad review just because it has the same title as another book? That's moronic. Many books have the exact same titles, and intelligent people can tell the difference and appreciate each on its own merits. This is a good book. It's one of Palmer's more contemporary stories and it shows. In her older books, the story usually ends as soon as the guy finally gets the girl. Sweet, satisfying, but not so realistic. This story has a bit more edge to it, in that when the hero and heroine get married they realize they rushed it, and that there are things they should have taken into consideration besides just lust. Complications ensue and there is a too-tidy wrap-up at the end, but that's classic Palmer and one of the reasons we love her. If you are a fan, give this one a try, but be prepared for a more complex story and characters than you may be used to from her.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Disappointed. Ms. Palmer isn't writing like she used to.
Review: Usually I really enjoy Diana Palmer. She's funny and her characters always seem to leap off the page. Unfortunately I have noticed that in rescent books, and particularily The Princess Bride, the characters are shallow and the plot incomplete. Not to mention the lack of Ms. Palmer's sense of humor. The herione, Tiffany, was immature and spoiled. Even after her move to New York, she was still annoying, more concerned with herself than any one else. She never seemed inlove with King and he never seemed more than in lust with her. The entire book seemed about 2 people who didn't belong together. Usually Ms. Palmer has very masculine hero's who are inlove with the heroine. I was never convinced that King wanted more than sex from Tiffany. Otherwise he seemed to find her annoying...like I did.
