Summary: Terrific read!
Review: I love twists on favorite themes, and this has a nice one. She's the bodyguard and he's the man in jeopardy. And you gotta love a man who is secure enough to let a woman do her job. I adored this hero and wanted to be this heroine. :-)

Julianne MacLean's dialogue sparkles, and she's created a pair of fascinating characters who ache for each other. A fast, sexy read indeed! Highly recommended.

Summary: The Perfect Summer Read
Review: In Sleeping With The Playboy, Julianne Maclean has given me everything I look for in a romance book. I identitfied with the heroine, and the hero was sexy, funny and smart. Add a dash of danger and lots of spice, and I was hooked from the first chapter right through to the satisfying end. It's the perfect book to take to the beach or read on a lazy summer day. I've read and enjoyed several historical romances by Julianne Maclean, but now that's she's written a Desire, I hope we'll see more of those as well.

Summary: Romantic, passionate, funny and sweet!
Review: Just a wonderfully enjoyable story that had me smiling often! Julianne MacLean is a newly discovered author for me and this is her first contemporary romance. She's written four historicals (none of which I've read yet), her most recent "To Marry the Duke" has garnered some very good reviews and I look forward to reading it next!

Dr Donovan Knight, wealthy, handsome, sexy heart surgeon has been getting death threats and now someone has broken into his penthouse and attacked him, but got away. His worried partner has had enough and has hired a bodyguard to protect Donovan until this stalker is caught. But he never expected his bodyguard to be a beautiful dark haired, dark eyed, tough as nails woman!

Jocelyn MacKenzie, former Secret Service agent, isn't so sure she should accept this assignment. She's got issues with men who live for status, wealth and material things and this guy looks like yet another one. She's also concerned about the way she can't stop thinking about how handsome and built he is - how unprofessional is that? But she needs the money if she wants to help her sister attend Julliard, so she accepts and moves in to provide 24-hour protection.

Donovan immediately senses that she has little or no respect for him and thinks him shallow and status conscious. He's determined to find out what makes her tick, but she's just as determined to keep him at arm's length and discourages any personal interaction of any kind. But Donovan can't resist the challenge of dragging out the woman hiding behind that professional facade. Her resistance starts to weaken - how could it not? But there's still a stalker out there and she can't afford to lose her focus or someone could get hurt, maybe killed. And not only is there the physical threat, but what about the threat to her heart - especially when she figures out that her first impressions of him were so wrong?

A fast, fun and romantic read and I highly recommend it! I look forward to more stories by Ms. MacLean!

Summary: A Desire Favourite
Review: Ms Maclean has once again penned another great book. Sleeping With The Playboy is the best Desire I have ever read. Snappy dialogue, tight plotting and adorable characters make this book a fast and fabulous read.
I love that the roles are reversed and that the heroine can really look after herself, and the hero, a prominant heart surgeon. But the doctor is no slouch either, brilliant, handsome, complex, all the makings of memorable hero.
Do I recommend this book? You bet!
