Summary: New twist on romance - factual fiction
Review: Interesting and clever use of scientific subject matter as the novel's backdrop. Dr. Phillips was very successful in weaving romance (steamy!), intrigue, mystery and factual fiction into a very clever plot. Would like to read more by this promising new author.

Summary: When's the next book?
Review: Purchased the book on a Friday and finished it the next day. Couldn't put it down. Most of the characters, even the "bad" people have some humorous moments. Like the way the story was woven around the bioremediation "thingie." If you like a little adventure, passion, romance, you'll like Star Light. Waiting on another great book from this author.

Summary: Great book!
Review: Star Light, Star Bright is a mix of intrigue and mystery with some passionate romance intermixed. Connor Phillips is beautiful, highly intelligent and challenges Franklin Hayes at every step during their encounters-be it business or desire. Connor wants to prove to Franklin that she only wants his trust and his love. Franklin believes that Connor is trying to sabotage his company. That is, until she is kidnapped and he sees his world coming to an end. For deep in his heart, he knows that Connor only wants the best for him and his company. After all, she wished for it upon a star.

Summary: Wishing On A Star
Review: This first novel by Dr. Idelia Phillips is suspenseful with hefty doses of romantic interludes.

Connor Phillips has been acting Chief Legal Counsel for Ellenton River Company for the past two months. When the president announces who the permanent Legal Counsel will be, Connor feels cheated, like something has been stolen from her. Immediately she contacts an old friend to look for other employment. Since Connor has been instrumental in developing a procedure to safely dispose of radioactive waste, she has an offer in three days.

The new firm that hired Connor is the legal counsel for Hayes and Son Enterprises. Hayes is currently in a legal battle with Connor's former employee, Ellenton River Company. Both companies submitted identical proposals to the Federal Government, which means one was stolen. Franklin Hayes III, does not know if Connor can be trusted so he has his security people tail her.

Now add to all of that, the fact that Franklin does not trust women in general, he is spoiled and egotistical and Connor has lit a fire in him. What they discover while tailing her is that there are at least two other people tailing her, also. Now Franklin does not know if he should be afraid for her, or if his heart should be afraid of her.

I expected an intense mystery because the story was filled with double crossing, kidnapping and theft. But this was a light mystery and the characters lacked a certain depth. Though the book was entertaining and the subject was an excellent one, there was an air of predictability. I applaud Dr Philips, for the research accomplished to present this sensitive topic to the reading public. I look forward to more factual fiction from her.

Summary: Great new novel.
Review: This first novel by Idelia Phillips is a great first effort. The romance along with the strong desire and passion makes for a good read. The character Connor Phillips is a brave, intelligent woman with strong convictions. She wants Franklin --- badly, but will not succumb totally to his romantic overtures until he can trust her completely. Franklin, having been jilted by his former fiance, is rather jaded feelings towards women. Plus, someone is trying to sabotage his company. All the while Connor is working to convince Franklin of her trustworthiness, she is systematically breaking down all of his defenses with her exotic beauty, wit, charm, and yes, strong convictions. Franklin wants Connor - badly, but can't have her until he can give her his trust completely and willingly. When Connor is kidnapped, Franklin will not rest until she is found and her kidnappers are behind bars. Connor has muti-million dollar secrets locked inside her brain, and someone is willing to kill her for them.
