Rating: Summary: Well Written but not particularly exciting Review: This book is well written but the plot leaves a lot to be desired. It's a sweet story with little excitement.Elise Martin is a reporter who will almost anything to get a story. Planning to be married when the stage arrives Elise dressed in a wedding dress awaits her "fiancee". When he doesn't show she picks a man who arrives on the stage and offers him $10 to "marry" her, which he does; however, there is more to this "wedding" than meets the eye. The stranger turns out to be Sheriff Trace Jackson, who, for his own reasons, has assumed another identity, that of Gabriel West, who has won the newspaper from the former owner. Elise and Trace find themselves attracted to each other but Trace does not believe he can pursue Elise and marriage until he has settled his debt with notorious outlaw Matt Harris. Elise has discovered that the "dead" Trace Jackson is still alive and puts out a special edition of the newspaper announcing this little tidbit, then follows "Gabriel West" to Canyon City to inform him of this. What occurs between Trace and Elise and the notorious Matt Harris will not be discussed here as it would give away the plot of the story. Read this book and find out the ending.
Rating: Summary: Good Review: This is the first time I've read a Bobbi Smith book and I liked it. Elise's story was good but it didn't get real exciting until the end of the book, I wanted to turn the pages. It was a good story and I liked the characters. I would recommend it as a good read and I will read the other "Brides" stories.
