Rating: Summary: Urban fairy tale Review: Rooted in absolute realism, this book still reads like a modern day fairy tale. Will Rhona end up with her Prince Charming (Jeffrey), or the frog (Stuie)? You just know there's going to be a happy ending somehow -- but for the life of you, you can't imagine how. I was so enchanted I stayed up all night until I found out . . . you will, too.
Rating: Summary: Just Delightful! Review: This book is a charming read. Lisa Lieberman Doctor captures the time and place perfectly.

Rating: Summary: Mazel Tov - A Vivid Image of Jewish NYC in the 70s Review: You know you can't go wrong with the word "deflowering" in the title. What a treat down memory lane to visit Queens in the early 1970s! Great details of Jewish life- from temple bingo games to the deli to the LI ice cream man. Lisa Doctor is a wonderful storyteller and her writing is riveting. I didn't want this book to end! This LI girl related to the setting and she was glad to see Rhona grow as a woman. I can't wait to read the sequel!
