Review: I read this book and immediately thought of life. Maya and Mykal's journey truly touched my soul. I was drawn into the lives and these characters and their trials. I was caught up in imagining if it were me. I applaud the writer who has enough courage to tell a story so straight forward that it leaves a mark on your mind for a time after you've put it down. This story will captivate you from the first page to the last.

Review: Maya is a deeply hurt woman. She has suffered abuse from just about every hand
that should have held her instead of hurting her. She struggles from the effects of that abuse
and has shut the world around her out, especially men. That is until she meets Mykal a
hot, sexy R & B star. Through Maya, Mykal realizes what it is he is missing the most in his life.
He misses being in love and he sees that stardom, fame and money don't really take the place of real love.
Mykal goes through great lengths to help Maya heal and in doing so he confronts his past, his lifestyle
and comes to understand what it is he really wants in life.While Maya and Mykal discover eachother and open their hearts to one another
Mykal's manager Angelique is all but pleased. She controls Maykal, his career and his personal life. She also wants Makal
for her own. When Mykal puts the brakes on her controlling attempts she digs into Maya's past
trying anything and everything to wreck what they share. The story deals heavily with abuse, both mentally and physically
and the effects of it that shadow Maya's life. I found the book touching, A story of real love and a glimpse into that love
that shows that love doesn't have to hurt. The story goes from tragic events to the healing touch of love.

This is one of its kind and is a insight into a real group of peoples lives. See the story is mainly focused on Mya and Mykal, but all the other characters are very much involved and have a story of their own. The title is describing Mykals description of Mya. This is a book that if you are use to scanning, you can't do, this is a book that you have to read every word or you will miss something. You will feel all types of emotions, You will laugh, cry, scream, concentrate, or meditate, get angry, feel happy. It has everything, You can feel the Spirit rise. There can definitely be a sequel. You will also feel like you actually know these characters and let me tell you at certain times, I wanted to be written into the book, just to deal with Angelique. Mya is definitely a strong woman to deal with all that she has dealt with in her life time. A must read.

Review: This is not your typical boy meets girl story line here. The story line is riviting and takes you on a journey. I became intimately engaged in the life of each character. I cried, I laughed and rejoiced. This books draws you in and it won't let you go until the end. The end leaves you wanting for more. Not to say that the story is left open you just want to follow the characters as they grow in to one another. I certainly hope that a sequel is on the horizon. "She Touched My Soul" has touched my soul.
