Rating: Summary: Another Good Read Review: I am a sucker for follow ups - spin offs - etc., I enjoy characters that have been introduced in one book and his [or her] story is in a follow up -- such was Rand Clayton, Duke of Beldon - tantalizingly introduced in Wicked Promise and his story was spun out in Perfect Sin [of course for which he paid]-- I really like finding out the progress of the characters from the previous books, as I did like Nicholas Warring----- As for Caitlin, she bombed out with all of the other females. The story was intriguing and not boring or dull -- The Villians -- not to be underestimated but [chuckle, chuckle] they did bite the dust. Altogether, worth reading again!
Rating: Summary: very disappointing Review: I don't think I will ever read another Kat Martin's book. Her first book I read was "devil's prize" and I really enjoyed it. I thought I discovered a new favourite author and rushed out to buy a stack of her books like "nothing but velvet", "sweet vengeance", "dangerous passion", "innocence undone", but they were all somewhat a disappointment (I have had "innocence undone for more than 6 months and still haven't finished it). When this book came out, I though the story sounded interesting and decided to give the author another try. What a let down! The plot was so boring that it took me a month and many settings to finish it. The charactors were poorly drawn, I did not feel I knew the hero or the heroine, I did not feel there was any chemistry between them, I could not be convinced that they had any strong feeling (let alone love) for each other. And if I ever read another book with a petite red-head heroine, I am going to scream.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS AN OK BOOK Review: I generally like Martin's works, but this book was extremely flat. Like the previous readers, I also felt that the mistress Martin threw at the end was uncalled for and just ruined the book for me. The wife discovers her husband with the mistress as she searches for him. I want romance not infidelity. Take a pass on the book.
Rating: Summary: Perfect Sin Review: I have been waiting for this book ever since it was hinted that the Duke of Beldon would have his own story. I wasn't disappointed. I could not put this down. I had tears in my eyes by the time I finished that last page. I am sorry the book came to an end. I just wanted it to go on and on and on......Lets hope Kat Martin writes like this forever. I have ALL her books and have re-read these over and over again. Never disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Good one Review: I liked this book ,although I wished the heroine would have been a little more sensitive about the hero .She was stealing a child from him in a way and I SO hate when heroines do that.I enjoyed the plot and descriptions of the places they went to.Very good stpry but not one of Kat Martin's best.
Rating: Summary: Kat Martin at her BEST! Review: I read this book in one day! I couldn't put it down. Cait and Rand's story is a "true" love story told by a master - Kat Martin. Keep up the great work!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely smashing...!!!!! Review: I read this book like about 2 weeks ago and it was brilliant. This is the 2nd book that I've read by Kat Martin, the first one was The Fire Inside. Both of the books were really2 good. It is like as if you were there yourself experiencing the whole thing that happened in the book. It was beautiful. Keep up the good work KaT Martin!!!!
Rating: Summary: Acutally a 4+ A good Kat Martin, but not her best Review: I really like Kat Martin, so bought this as soon as I saw it on the bookstore shelf. I liked the story, but felt a bit adrift at the end. I think the "Wicked Promise" was a bit better. I liked the characters and all the twists in the plot, but expected a bit more tension in the end. And I felt the epilogue could have been better, perhaps a little later in their lives? Did they have more kids??? Anyway, it was a good read, definitely worth the time and money!
Rating: Summary: couldn't put the book down until infidelity slowed me a bit Review: I was devouring the book until Rand runs back to his mistress. I almost stopped reading the book altogether. Although after he was caught he admitted his love for Cait and proceeds to try and win her back. I read romance for the fantasy that a man can be faithful (not like reality - which has proven infidelity a norm) I want the main character to show some power over his desire for other women once he meets the heroine. I am not of the school that believes once a man cheats he can then see the error of his ways and become faithful. If Cait was my friend no matter if Rand risked his life for her or not I would have told her to not go back to him. I did finish the book because I did enjoy it and I did like the characters except for that one part. It was a good read if a little off putting.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT! READ IT IN ONE NIGHT! Review: I'm glad Kat is writing historical again. This book was very very good. I read it in one night. I love the attraction between the two. Keep up the good work Kat!
