Rating: Summary: When love can conquer prejudice and time Review: Catherine Hart has captivated and peaked my interest many times over with Silken Savage. The details are extremely close to actual events and depict the hardships and terror associated with their way of life. With Tanya and Panther, Catherine Hart has created a captivating love that spans the test of time and prejudice to show that two people so opposite can belong in each others worlds, but she doesn't stop there!!! She takes up where Tanya and Panther left off as their children walk their paths to love and acceptance with a following book...the true love in these books is defiant and enduring. Both books are excellent and captivating!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: I Loved this book! Wish that I could find it to buy it. Review: Catherine Hart really has a way with words, especially in "Silken Savage". She made me laugh and cry. She made me want to be Little Wildcat. I really wish there was a way to get this book again. I would love to add it to my collection. I already have "Summer Storm" and would like to add "Silken Savage" to it. The way that she has Panther capture Tanya and then let them fall in Love is great. I haven't found another book that can make me laugh, cry, and get angry all at once. Keep up the great work!
Rating: Summary: Good Review: I bought Night Flame the same time I purchased this one. I found this story a little disappointing, although I like the way Hart has so many twists and turns through her novels. But there was a couple parts in the story where the act of scalping went into "grose' detail. And how she made the heroin cold to one of the other white captives by having her whipped. And how her capture whipped her the first time she tried to escape, I found it hard to like A-Panther-Stalks after that. Although Catherine Hart does have a "magical" way of really drawing you into a story, more then any other author of Historical romance I have read. This is not your "Adverage" romance author, if you have never read Catherine Hart's novels, you should read at least one, you would be surprisingly delighted.
Rating: Summary: My first of many Review: I never liked reading when I was in school. This was the first novel I picked up and couldn't put down. I totally loved it and after reading it, I've read at least another 100 novels, many of which were historical romances. I credit Catherine Hart for giving me the pleasure of reading for fun! Thanks
Rating: Summary: This will be a book you can't put down! Review: I read this book in a matter of hours. I could not put it down! The sexiness of the tall, masculine chieftan "A Panther Stalks" and his "Wildcat" hook the reader from the very beginnig. It's not just another "Indian steals white woman story" I was swept away with Panther and Wildcat...their adventures and loving moments have brought me back to this book again and again. The sequel "Summer Storm" is just as wonderful
Rating: Summary: This book is awful Review: I was looking forward to reading this book but was very disappointed with it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have read and enjoyed many of Ms. Hart's other books but this one is a loser. The heroine alternated between apparent heartless indifference to the awful fate of her fellow captives and fawning subservience to a man who had branded, beaten and humiliated her. In contrast to Ms. Hart's usual spunky heroines who will stand up for themselves, her almost foot-licking worship of this arrogent jerk was almost sickening. The book also showed a lack of research. Don't waste your time with this one. Instead, try Charmed or Impulsive. Both are MUCH better.
Rating: Summary: great read Review: It seems that although well received Silken Savage is not one of this author's strongest novels. I have to tell you that this is the first Catherine Hart novel I read but, definitely, not the last!! Well written, lots of twist and turns that just make this a delightful read from start to finish. How interesting... the love story between A Panther Stalks and Little Wildcat. Other reviewers were put off by the humiliation the heroine initially received in the hands of this Cheyenne warrior. I , however, felt the handling and abuse of Little Wildcat would be consistent with how a captured "slave" would be treated by the Cheyenne. The ONLY criticism I had was in the timing of the relationship between hero and heroine. It just seemed a little unrealistic that such a spirited individual as Little Wildcat(aka Tanya)would transition and submit so quickly and completely as a "slave" and paramour to this intimidating warrior. You would think that she would harbour a bit more contempt and a little fight to remain independent. She succombs to life as a Cheyenne almost immediately and within weeks rejects the "White world" and culture she had known and been nutured in all her life. All in all, a great book. I can hardly wait to read another Catherine Hart novel.
Rating: Summary: This is my favorite book of all times!!! Review: Its not always easy to know why one book will touch you more than any other but for me, this book is as close to perfect as any romance novel has ever been. I admired the mutually respectful relationship between Tanya and A Panther Stalks. I also particularly liked the way in which the Cheyenne and the White Soldiers were portrayed as proud and yet each had their heros and their villains. I have been looking for another copy of this book for a long time, thanks Amazon. Sherri
Rating: Summary: Whomever doesn't adore this book has got serious problems Review: Listen, i have read this book enough times to say i can almost recite the whole thing front to back, and back to front. The ONE person who gave this book a bad review must have too much time on their hands to point out so many "awful" things to nitpick about. the book kept me hooked and i really wished there was a sequal to it. there was only one thing i found bothersome about this book, and that was that it seemed like the author(s) were in a hurry to finish writing the book. i found it disapointing when Wildcat and Panther's future children were listed off. personally i think it would been better ended at the point when luitenant Young falls into the snake pit, and Wildcat and Panther go back to the reservation.
Rating: Summary: This is the best book that I have ever read. Review: Out of the hundreds of books that I have read, this is the most enjoyable. This depicts the way the Indians were
treated during that time period. It has not changed much.
I enjoy a story this is happy all of the way through. Two
people very much in love with respect for each other as well
as every person they come in contact with.
