Summary: Romantic Times Review
Review: A lovely computer specialist is astonished to find herself agreeing to not only help her ex-husband track down a criminal, but lets the virile agent move in with her. Albeit working together reawakens the passion they once shared, her fear of his career stands in the way of them grasping a second chance at love. Carla Cassidys finely woven characters and animated writing style blend to make STRANGERS WHEN WE MARRIED (4) a top-notch read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another Carla Cassidy Winner
Review: Carla Cassidy writes a fast-paced romantic suspense. STRANGERS WHEN WE MARRIED is a sexy sizzling read. Seth Greene is a sympathetic hero--part tough secret agent and part gushy dad. Meghan is very much his soul-mate, except their greatest fears keep them apart.

Years before, the two wed, the divorced. Now they are forced to spend time together when Seth can only trust Meghan to help him uncover the evil Simon. They feel both lust rekindled and a new love for one another, but can they overcome the terrible fears that drove them apart?

Cassidy can be counted on to tell a good story and this one is a winner.

Summary: #6 in the SPEAR plot but.......
Review: I was disappointed in the lack of SPEAR plot action - the story was just another love story of miscommunication and misunderstandings.

I suppose you will have agents that will have next to nothing to do with the search. But that is not a way to hold together a plot spanning 12 books.

On the whole Seth Greene became a living character [after being introduced in the previous book]and his wife [ex] was portrayed as a computer wizard but - again no action.

Ah well, as a book to read it was OK - just not strong enough -- now onto #7 THE SPY WHO LOVED HIM by Merline Lovelace, with SPEAR agent Margarita Alfonsa de las Fuentes [mentioned by Seth]- she comes face to face with SIMON and we are introduced to Marcus Waters.

Summary: They refused to compromise
Review: SPEAR agent Seth Greene goes AWOL when he leaves the resort, where he was recuperating, and heads back into action to locate the elusive traitor he nearly had. He knows he needs help and so he seeks assistance from another SPEAR agent Meghan Greene, his ex-wife. When Seth and Meghan divorced, she thought she'd never see him again. The passion she shared with him could not stand against the difficulties they had making their marriage work. Now Seth needs her help which wouldn't be a problem if not for their son whom she fears Seth will become attached to despite his promise to stay away.

Carla Cassidy's installment has very little action involved where the plot is concerned. Instead, she focuses on Seth and Meghan who now feel compelled to try to understand what went wrong with their marriage. There isn't any real secrecy as to their problem. A serious lack of communication on the part of both agents is at the root of all their troubles as they try to locate Simon and deal with Seth's growing affection for his son. The pace of the story is rather slow as is the redevelopment of their relationship. In the end, the story is rewarding and the plot somewhat engaging. The characters are easy to sympathize with but the pace combined with the irrational lack of communication between the two leaves this installment slightly lacking without the benefit of any real action. Though the reader learns plenty about Seth and Meghan through their points of view, it is a shame it took so long to share their feelings and concerns with each other.
