Summary: Amusing, but not a page turner...
Review: The writing was light hearted and the descriptions of Maggie the cat trying to cope with the human world were terrific, but overall I found the book slightly disappointing. It had no depth or real emotion, and relied a little too much on amusing descriptions and one-liners.

Summary: Meow! Le Purrrrrrr!
Review: This book is wonderful. I laughed so hard that I kept getting strange looks from people. Julie Kenner brings to life a wonderful fantasy about a man and his cat. Nicholas a big time lawyer has a cat named Maggie who he loves. Maggie loves him too but more than just as her owner. She loves him as a woman. So she asks the wise old one eyed tom to make her a woman so that Nicholas will love her back the same way. He grants the wish but there are conditions. She is only a woman at night and turns back into a cat during daylight. Also Nicholas must say he loves her by the end of Halloween in order for her to stay human, otherwise she will revert back to being a cat and remain a cat forever. She agrees and soon finds herself a beautiful woman, a naked woman on Nicholas's doorstep. When he answers the door she pounces on him, literally. He freaks and leaves for his best friends house. Hoop is a great secondary character and so is Deena, Nick's sister, I wished that their had been more to their story but maybe we can get a sequel. The story is very refreshing and makes one really believe that magic does exist. I loved the part about the kitty treats. Definately buy this book and reread it again and again.

Summary: I could hardly wait for this book to come out. it was worth
Review: This is a great book! I laughed and groaned my way through Maggie's trials and tribulations; while the PURRfect revenge she takes on Nick's stuffy girlfriend had me howling with laughter! I can highly recommend this, and so can my teenage daughter, who could hardly wait to grab it out of my hands when I was done. This book is definitely a keeper, and I can hardly wait for another book by this great author!

Summary: The Cat's Fancy
Review: This is the first book I've read by this author. I thought it was a wonderful fairy tale like idea and I found it hard to put this book down. Loved the main characters. Especially Maggie.
I gave it only four stars because I could have hoped for more out of the ending. The one very late love scene was so weak that I would have rather done without it all together. The end just felt rather rushed and fell flat.
Still, there was enough fun and magic here that I can't wait to get my hands on another Julie Kenner novel.

Summary: Cute, tame, weak
Review: This Maggie really is a cat, one who loves her master, Nicholas, so much that she wants to become human. Old Tom grants her wish, but, as with any wish, there are conditions and Maggie must meet them while struggling to adapt to being human.
Nick is very appealing. You can understand why Maggie would go to all the trouble she does for him. The supporting characters, Hoop and Deenie, are also fun. The writing is humorous and sexy and there are great details. For example, the human Maggie loves to dress in catsuits.
This book is as magical and appealing as its heroine.

Summary: Cute, but not much romance
Review: This was a cute story-----but not much romance.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Very Original
Review: This was definitely one of the most original romance novels I've ever read. Seeing through the eyes of the cat-woman was definitely a different take on things.

However, there wasn't all that much romantic chemistry between the lovers. The gimmick sort of overwhelmed the love story.

Summary: Meow!
Review: What a delightful and original tale--or should I say tail? <G> THE CAT'S FANCY is seductive, outrageous, and witty. I thoroughly enjoyed the sensuality and the story itself. The romance was a challenge, but Kenner rose to the occasion and proved herself a master storyteller. Excellent work!
