Summary: I read this in 1 day
Review: I ordered this book off Amazon after reading Aphrodite's kiss. Deena (in Aphrodite's kiss) keep's mentioning her brother's wife was a cat so I decided I should pick this book up and read it. i found it simply adorable. It was such a light hearted fun and fun read. I saw on her web site that she has another coming out based on a character from Aphrodite's Kiss. I can't wait to read that too. She is a great writer. if you haven't read this book yet... you are missing out. It is well worth reading.

Summary: Enchanting and Delightful!!
Review: I picked up this book after falling in love with Julie Kenner's APHRODITE'S KISS, and I must say, it didn't disappoint!! Truly delightful, I loved Maggie and Nick. Reminded me of The Little Mermaid. I can't wait for Ms. Kenner's next book!

Summary: Sweet and Fluffy
Review: I read "The Cat's Fancy" this weekend. This is a hard book for me to review, because I don't have strong feelings about it one way or the other. I love fairy tales, especially romantic ones, but I am not that excited about this one. It is a combination of Cinderella and The Little Mermaid, and while those are two of the best, they don't carry over here very well. This is a very sweet and simple story.

Maggie lives with Nicholas as his house cat. She has fallen in love with him and because she is a different sort of cat, she is granted her wish of becoming a human to entice Nicholas to fall in love with her.

Nicholas is an attorney who is engaged to a woman that no one likes. He has spent his life making sacrifices for the benefit of his sister. What I did not get was: If Nicholas is such an intelligent man (graduate of Harvard) how does he think that his family is going to get along after the marriage, when his sister and his fiancee hate each other's guts?

The story held my attention, but it was almost as if the author was trying too hard. There were romantic moments; dancing in the rain, walking on the beach, but they were all so contrived that it was really hard to get into. If you like the cat concept, but would like a little more depth, I recommend "Raja" by Dara Joy.

Summary: Must admit was somewhat dissapointing
Review: I was waiting with great anticipation to get this book but when I read it I was not completely blown away like I expected. It was cute and fluffy but I do not really think it had much substance. I was hoping for a little more spunk and a lot less adoration without reason. I like her as a cat more she was much cuter and had more personality, shedding all over the other woman's stuff was just darling. But if you want a cute story just read this.

Summary: A delightful read
Review: I'm not a cat fan, but I love the fairy tale of the Little Mermaid, so this was a must-read--and I'm so glad I did!

The characters are adorable, the writing is laugh-out-loud funny, the sexual tensions sizzle and the story is satisfying.

If I had a cat, I figure this would be the purrfect (sorry!) book to curl up with my feline friend for a few hours of complete reading pleasure.

I'm looking forward to reading more from Ms. Kenner.

Summary: Tuna Treats¿Yum Yum
Review: In order to enjoy this story, you must be willing to overlook a bit of questionable behavior on the hero's part (running out and leaving a naked stranger in his apartment alone, not ditching the heinous fianceé earlier & being a cat owner who lets his unaltered cat run at large) and buy into the fantasy that cats have human thoughts and can, apparently, turn into humans. Being owned by two cats, I find this a scary thought. :::grin::: However, Julie Kenner takes the premise and turns it into a delightful story that had me laughing in places and in other places had me muttering, "Just say you love her, Nick!"

At one point, while engaged in a conversation with Nick's sister (Deenie), Maggie (as a human) absentmindedly tears open a bag of tuna kitty treats and chows down half the bag before Deenie's horrified look stops her. In another scene, Maggie (as a cat) plots a give the clothes Evil Angela keeps at Nick's house a look and feel of angora. After I read this, I had a horrible thought that perhaps my Maine Coon, Esmerelda, plots in a similar fashion with my hubby's fleece pants and shirts.

All in all, The Cat's Fancy, was a light and fun story. Ms. Kenner has captured my attention as an author and I look forward to her next single title, which involves a woman with X-ray vision!

Summary: MEow
Review: It's not that often that I read a book that not only has me rolling on the floor, but seriously has me thinking about those "nine cat's lives........" especially since I have two cats myself! Maggie is a black cat who LOVES her attorney owner, Nicholas Goodman, and wants to save him from marrying his fiancee, Angela, who also happens to be his bosses daughter........Maggie begs Old Tom, a magical cat, into turning her into a human being..he agrees by making the condition that Nicholas must tell her outloud that he loves her, by Halloween which is one week away....also that she'll be a human only by night, and during daylight she'll be feline.... The antics are hysterically funny, including those by secondary characters, Deena (Nick's sister who can talk to fairies) and Hooper (Nick's best friend) Don't think this book is just a silly fairy-tale-like romance....Although it had me rolling on the floor, especially when Maggie, the human, is caught munching on a bag of cat crunchies, this book has much warmth and depth into human and feline behavior!! Just loved how Maggie learned to act like a human, by watching tv shows such as Jerry Springer and soap operas! Each and every one of you who loves a good romance, or just loves cats, has GOT to read this book....it will warm the cockles of your heart as you see the human Maggie trying to win the heart of her love using no guiles... A definite "comfort" read and a definite "keeper"...this is an author to watch..........just can't wait for her next book which deals with the heroine having "x-ray" vision.......I'm already chuckling!! If I could have rated this book 6 stars, I would have!
