Summary: Spellbinding Magic
Review: Mary Alice Kreusi is my favorite author of romances with a fairytale twist. With her lush description of the physical setting and the characters emotions, I found myself drawn into the fairytale and completely believing it. I loved this book as much as I enjoyed her first. I hope her next book is published soon.

Summary: MAGIC AND ROMANCE BONA FIDE
Review: MARY ALICE KRUESI paints such a dreamy landscape full of magic and romance that it is impossible to put it down. Laurel, who is at her crossroad, has to decide whether to abandon her path to Cornell or immerse herself in the disarming charms of Fallingstar. She embarks on a road of self-discovery when she meets Maybelle Starr, a painter who religiously believes in the healing powers of fairies and a swoonsome Dane Waldon, who teaches her love in One Summer's Night.

It enchants with vulnerable innocence and an atmosphere drenched in magic; the forest of vertiginous cliffs and blooming roses comes beckoning at you.Add that picturesque haven to a sweet bath of love and self-healing and ONE SUMMER'S NIGHT is the fun read you will get. Mary ALice Kruesi paints the picture right with memorable characters like Maybelle and Arthur, with their love so tragic and transient, it glosses with a human touch. ONE SUMMER'S NIGHT is such dazzling enchantment that after reading it, you will realize what dreams may come.

Summary: A magical fairy tale for grownups!
Review: Mary Alice Kruesi takes a heaping spoonful of fairy dust and enchants her readers with this delightful novel!

I have always been fascinated with the faeire world, and to find a book with all the elements of a great love story, plus the magic and mystery of a fairy tale, well, I was in heaven!

Kruesi has a wonderful sense of storytelling, and her characters are charming as well as intriguing. Weaving in a bit of mystery, she keeps the reader wondering if true love will win the day. Look for more great stories to come from this rising star in the romance world.

Summary: A lovely story . . .
Review: MS. Kruesi has created some of the most memorable characters! I just LOVED this story. The hero and heroine are perfectly matched and I was breathlessly waiting to see how they would finally get together. A marvelously crafted book for anyone who loves faeries, or romance, or BOTH!

Summary: A very relaxing and wonderful book
Review: Reading this book was a wonderful experience for me. I love fantasy and I love romance. When the two combined in this story of Laurel, a young woman trying to find herself, I was in for a very good read. I was so into reading it that I couldn't put it down till I finished it. I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good read filled with fantasy, and a love story that leaves you wondering what happens next.

Summary: Mid-Summer Magic and Madness
Review: Rejected by the only graduate school of her choice, Laurel Carrington is at loose ends after her college graduation. She is not used to this, having spent a lifetime of eradicating from her existence any taint of disorganization, ambiguity, or right-brain thinking. Not to worry - her father and her hopeful fiance-to-be are more than willing to come to her rescue and lay out the rest of her life for her. In an uncharacteristic act of rebellion against their intrusive planning, Laurel decides to accept a surprise invitation to a summer apprenticeship in Vermont with famous artist Maybelle Starr. Maybelle shows Laurel how to experience life without the trappings of linear thought and logic, and her summer is alternately magical, arousing, dirty, and maddening, as she comes to terms with the intuitive, creative, joyous side of herself. Along the way, she crosses paths with Dane Walden, a self-taught man of many contradictions who is the caretaker at Maybelle's farm. On the surface so different, yet alike in ways they have yet to discover, Dane and Laurel are drawn together in a mystical, spiritual, sexual bond. As the summer lengthens, Dane, Laurel, and Maybelle find their destinies intertwined in a story of opposites, love, caprice, and magic.

This book starts out slowly. Beware, because about halfway through, it accelerates unexpectedly, and you may find that you cannot put it down very easily. The characters are written with depth and believability, and the author draws beautiful pictures with words that evoke the sight, smell, and feel of the place. My only regret revolved around what felt to me to be some unresolved issues in the plot, with regard to Dane's sister. However, Maybelle would probably say that it's good to leave something to the imagination.....This book crosses genres and I don't think of it as "just" a romance, but more of a story about love and family. I'm happy to recommend it!

Summary: Writing too "flowery"
Review: The story is good, but the writing is so overly descriptive and "flowery" that I would get tired of it, and try to skip ahead to when something was actually happening. This book could have easily been half as long without leaving out anything of importance at all.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Magical
Review: This book was fantasic! I'm not a fan of "romance novels" but I was drawn by the cover, which justifies the books' magic and mystery. Mary Kruesi's writing is powerful, descriptive, and allows the reader to sink right in to the atmosphere of Fallingstar, the location. This book inspired me to stop and appreciate the simpler things in life. A great way to escape the everyday and step into a world that we only dream of...
