Rating: Summary: A shamelessly enjoyable, sexy read Review: Cole Sommers is the responsible, honorable straight-arrow who raised his two younger siblings (their dad died when he was 21) and provided them employment by opening his own private investigations firm. Melodie Turner is his secretary/office manager. He's known her since she was 16 and has always looked out for her as a favor to her dad, whom Cole respects as a second father. But lately he's been having fantasies about her - erotic ones! He's a bit ashamed and confused about these thoughts since Melodie is the sweet girl-next-door type, not to mention that he feels this is a betrayal of her dad, Richard's trust. And since raising his siblings he's not looking for a relationship with the two kids and a dog-type, which is what he thinks Melodie represents.Melodie is sick and tired of being called "sweet". She's now 29 and wants Cole to see her as a woman, not just as his secretary or as Richard's daughter. She's adored him for years, and now the right opportunity has come along to open his eyes. Cole needs a sexy, confident woman to accompany him to a charity auction for a case he's working on and she plans to be that woman! And so she sets about changing her image and shamelessly seducing Cole, not only into letting her work the case, but also to see her as the woman for him! Poor Cole. Though he fights her allure valiantly, he never really had a chance! You go Melodie! I adored Cole's younger brother Noah's story "The Ultimate Seduction", but have yet to read younger sister Joelle's story (I think it's out of print). An enjoyable and recommended read.
Rating: Summary: Erotic love letters and transformation Review: Erotic love letters inspire Melodie Turner's transformation from secretary to siren when she decides to prove she can be the woman her boss Cole Summers needs. Cole must find a woman to go undercover to recover erotic, suggestive letters for a client. Melodie needs to grab Cole's attention. So she abandons her discreet, proper attire and behavior for titillating clothing and a new attitude of seduction. She intends to prove her capability of handling the case as well as winning her man. Cole Sommers' PI business leaves no time for other interests. Since he was twenty-one, Cole has supported his family and fulfilled his responsibilities admirably. Only lately, he has begun to feel as if something crucial is missing from his life. Although he finds his secretary attractive, he believes her to be too sweet, innocent and too nurturing for a man like him. Then Melodie shows up in the office transformed into a seductress. Too bad that Cole cannot get involved with the daughter of police sergeant Richard Turner. Author Janelle Denison pens a tantalizing, dynamic romance with A SHAMELESS SEDUCTION. From the moment Melodie reads A Good Girls Guide to Being Bad, she boldly plans her seduction of Cole. Indeed, it is her boldness that makes Melodie both a charming heroine and an unexpected pleasure. Even when her plan does not go as she expects, Melodie does not compromise her transformation. Furthermore, Cole's determination to fulfill his responsibilities at the expense of his own personal desires makes for an interesting challenge. Melodie's daring letters add just the right amount of titillation to make A SHAMELESS SEDUCTION a stunning and memorable read. Very highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: heated contemporary PI romance Review: Ever since her police officer dad brought Cole Summers to their home when she was a teen, Melodie Turner wanted him, but the feelings were unrequited as he treated her as a kid sister. Years later, she works as his "Girl Friday" running the private investigation office while he works the cases. Alas she still desires him, but in her mind he still sees her as another younger sibling. Cole actually wants Melodie, but he believes she represents 2.5 kids plus there is the regard he has for her father who guided him when he raised his younger brother and sister after the death of his own dad. For the special demand of a wealthy female client, Cole needs a siren to work his latest case. Melodie overhears Cole asking Noah, his brother the chick magnet for assistance, but she steps in praying this is her opportunity to open her beloved's eyes. Cole, who already has found it nearly impossible not to fantasize over Melodie, is put to a test that Job would have conceded as he confronts the ultimate seduction. A SHAMELESS SEDUCTION is a fun tale that readers will enjoy especially when Melodie scorches the pages while polar-like showers cannot cool Cole's desires. The story line follows the typical heated contemporary PI romance, but the lead characters make the plot feel fresh from the oven as they are stimulating and hot leaving readers wanting Noah's tale released earlier than the planned Fall. Rating: Summary: A good girl turned better romp!! Review: Melanie is the 29 years overprotected daughter of a former policeman, Cole is the straightlaced PI that look at her father as a substitute father image his whole life. He hired her as a favour to her father - thinking to give her a 'safe' place to work as a protected secretary. Only she wants to be a PI and want him!! Cole will not listen to using Melanie on the current case that requires a sexy woman to pose as his date. 1) Melanie is hardly sexy - sure she gets under Cole's skin in a girl next door sort of way and 2) he has promised her father to protect her. But Melanie has had enough protection and wants to cut lose and show not only is she the woman for the case, but the woman for him. It's fun and so sexy! Way to go Ms. Denison.
