Rating: Summary: Christmas Time in Whitehorn?. Review: A two-in one book, "A Montana Mavericks Christmas" features two stories in the series. The first, "Married In Whitehorn" by Susan Mallery is the story of new comer Angela Sheppard. Angela, is widowed and pregnant. Alone, she has made her way to Whitehorn looking for a job as a teacher at the elementary school, and for a fresh start. While coming out of the interview for her new position, she is mugged and left with amnesia. With no place else to go, and no one else to help her, handsome Sheriff's Deputy Shane McBride steps in. He offers his home and his protection to pretty Angela. It seems another complication from her attack has arisen, the muggers not getting what they wanted from Angela, kidnapped five year old Sara McCallum, and Angela is the only witness. If only she could remember! Shane soon finds his neat little bachelor world shaken up when he begins to fall into a very domestic routine with the now recovering Angela, and he has a complication of his own. Shane is falling hard for Angela, and the feelings are mutual! The second story is called "Born in Whitehorn" and is by Karen Hughes. It is the story of Native American Cheyenne Leah Nighthawk and handsome doctor, Jeremy Winters. Leah had returned back home to the reservation to care for her dying mother. Finding comfort in the arms of Jeremy had been a blessing when her mother died. But a few weeks later it turned into a nightmare when Leah discovered she was pregnant. Leah's dreams lay elsewhere, not on the reservation. So, she hid from Jeremy, letting him believe that she had gone back to her life outside of Whitehorn. Then one snowy night Leah finds herself alone and in labor. Who should come driving by to her rescue? Dr. Jeremy Winters! Jeremy is stunned to find Leah still in Whitehorn, let alone pregnant and in labor with his twins! This time he isn't going to let her slip out of his life, and certainly not with his babies! The only thing Jeremy wants for Christmas is beautiful Leah and his babies. As a whole the book is a good read and the stories light and enjoyable. An excellent Christmas read, and of course a must for all fans of the Montana Mavericks miniseries by Silhouette.
