Summary: One of her worst books
Review: This book just kept going, and going, and going. It was hard to imagine a man swearing off of any woman for something that happened to him when he was 18. Hawk finally meets this terrific lady, named Angel, everything she does he finds a fault with. He can't believe that this woman is a real warm blooded woman that cares for people. It took a long time for him to finally realize that he misunderstood her. It was just your typical romance, man and woman don't get along, the guy makes it up to the girl, then they make up. I found that the book was too long, and didn't it have a great adventure to make up for their lack of romance.

Summary: Prince Un-Charming
Review: This book was too much. Shards of glass, rays of light, anger, hurt, betrayal..... Talk about repetitive. I love Elizabeth Lowell, but this book was a bit too much.

Angelina Lange or "Angel", is a creator of stained glass. Miles Hawkins or "Hawk", is some rich guy who buys land or something. I actually don't remember what is was he did, his character was not all that memorable.

They meet through a mutual aquaintance who needs both of thier help. Hawk mistakes Angel for a promiscuous golddigger and treats her like crap, and Angel of course, falls for his "suave" treat you like dirt attitude.

This is a story of an embittered man meeting no personality woman. How these two fall in love, is way beyond my comprehension. I have no idea what the point of this story was. Their relationship lacked something. Hmmmm, what was it? Oh yes, love, respect, kindness the bases for any relationship. This is not a romance novel, this is novel of what NOT to do in a relationship.

I don't recommend it. Pure waste of time.

Summary: A Book Without Substance
Review: What a waste of my time. I never should even have finished the book, except that I kept hoping it would get better. Fat chance. This was a pretty sorry excuse for a romantic novel. The characters were flat and barely-developed, the plot was incredibly weak, and it seemed more contrived than anything else. Lowell kept repeating herself atrociously, apparently trying to make up for her lack of creative story by putting in as much symbolism as possible --- except that THAT didn't work, either, since she said the same thing over and over and over and over again. It became utterly tedious in its repetition and, frankly, complete lack of originality. I sincerely hope that her other books are better, because this one was a dismal failure.
