Summary: Intensly satisfying
Review: Dedicated to eradicating the drug lords, who destroyed his mother's people, Major Mike Morgan serves as a liaison between the American and Peruvian military by coordinating raids on the cocaine suppliers. Mike is obsessed, believing that his destiny is to die in the jungles when his enemy finally catches up to him. His perspective radically changes when he meets Dr. Ann Parsons, who has been sent by Morgan Trayhern to help establish a medical clinic.

Ann is attracted to Mike just as he is to her. However, Ann fears becoming involved with the major because of past hurts suffered from males. A mystical medical experience tears down Ann's defenses and she reluctantly decides to see where their attraction takes them. Mike now knows that there is danger on two fronts. He realizes that he is a marked man with the cartel wanting him dead. He also deliberately keeps a secret from Ann that, if she ever learns it, will not only end their relationship, but also terrorize the doctor.

As usual, Lindsay McKenna has written a fantastic novel that includes a more complex and deeper story line than her previous well-written works. The "Morgan Mercenaries" continues to be a fabulous ongoing series, but HEART OF THE JAGUAR is much more than an action-packed romance. The novel is a mystical experience that delves into different spiritual mindsets than just what exists in the U.S. The ingenious Ms. Mckenna effortlessly convinces her readers to easily accept a scenario that in the hands of a lesser talent would be scoffed at by fans of romantic suspense. This should be Ms. Mckenna's break out book if there is any justice in the universe.

Summary: What a fantastic read!
Review: I liked the uniqueness of this book. She always writes with an emotional intensity and depth of characterization that completely involves me in her people. Every character has depth. No cardboard ones running around. The tension and page-turning quality of this book is top drawer. I don't want to give away the plot. But I urge anyone who likes adventure hooked up with romance to read this book. It's fantastic!

Summary: last one of her books I'll read
Review: I loved her earlier books, especially the military ones. I've suffered through her recent books over the last several years, hoping with each one that it will be like her old ones. I like that she keeps bringing old favorite characters into her new books, but then the newer books have inacurrate details that conflict with her older books. This book was the last straw for me. I give up on the author & will reread her older better books instead of the newer.

Summary: You have to be joking
Review: I've never read any books by this author before, but the back of this book intrigued me. It started out as a "normal" romance/adventure novel and about half way through the book turned very strange and almost like a fantasy novel. I don't recommend this book, or based on this would I buy anymore books by this author.

Summary: Excellent combination of romance, mystery, wonder, thrills!
Review: McKenna really shines in her latest novel, Heart of the Jaguar. Mostly set in mystical Peru, she combines fast-paced drama with sensual romance and a sense of wonder. Her knowledge of medicine, both Western and complimentary, really shows, and makes the reader want to learn more about the intriguing new things she introduces. A sure winner!

Summary: You have to be joking
Review: The "story" has absolutely NOTHING to do with the synopsis that is written on the back cover. This has to be the most ridiculous, insulting drivel I have ever had the misfortune of reading. I am embarrased to say I spent money on it.

Summary: Terrific Action / Adventure / Romance
Review: While Lindsay McKenna's - Morgan's Mercenaries - Heart Of The Jaguar is a wonderful sensual romance, it is also a terrific action, suspense and adventure novel. The very well developed characters drew me deep into their world, seeing what they saw and living their adventure along with them. It is a real page turner that kept me up late unwilling to put it down. My usual pleasure reading consists of action, suspense and techno-thrillers. However after reading Heart Of The Jaguar I am now anxiously waiting for Lindsay McKenna's next novel. This is a book for everyone, not just aficionados of the romance genre
