Rating: Summary: A real book for real people Review: This story had it all. Faith. real-life drama. It effected me so much that I have started to jump rope. It's a must read. J.J. murray has captured a peice of real life and made it real for eveybody.
Rating: Summary: These people are not for real Review: This was my first interracial novel, and boy was I disappointed. Ruth Bormans mouth was a trash can and the other characters just plain silly. I have read Renee and Jay also, and again I felt the characters were silly. Do not waste your time with this author.
Rating: Summary: What the...???? Review: Words cannot express how disappointed I was after reading both 'Renee and Jay' and this...atrocity. The only saving grace is the public library, that way I could return the books instead of setting them on fire. Had I bought the books I would have seriously considered suing for wasting my time.Don't get me wrong, I had high hopes for Mr. Murray's writing, but it seems as though he's never been around black people. I was appalled by the behavior, language and attitudes of the female lead characters. Boisterous, loud, offensive, petty, man hungry-any derogatory, stereotypical behavior you can think of, they displayed it. This was my first venture into interracial romance literature. If it gets worse than this, I'm going back to murder mysteries.
