Rating: Summary: True to the title Review: It's hard to believe my review on Cheaters was not posted . I can remember getting this book and reading when it was first released and being so anxious to read it . I usually e-mail this author and then come over and post my review. This story certainly gives meaning to the title. I have read all of Eric's books and I'll have to say that's my boy or he's the man. I am waiting anxiously for his next release. I will be standing in line for his release.
Rating: Summary: Could Not Put It Down!!!!! Review: I thought this book was very good. The author captured your interest with his characters and all of their different personalities. He made you want to keep reading and hoping that the two main characters would meet, and cross each others paths. He put a little bit of what evreybody's been through @ one point or another as far as relationships and friendships are concerned, from as minut as a one night stand, to something as serious as ending a marriage. DEFINITELY a good read. :-)
Rating: Summary: You don't know what you are missing. Review: If you haven't read CHEATERS you don't know what you are missing when I read that book I could not stop laughing and I could not stop crying I mean I was in class reading that book LOL. I must say I could not put that book down, as a matter a fact I could not put down all the books ERIC JEROME DICKEY has wrote I hope you read them and enjoy them like I did.
Rating: Summary: 2 SIDES OF THE SAME COIN Review: This book can be appreciated by women and men. It the story of 3 women, 3 men and thier relationships from all points of view. It makes you get mad and happy all at once. One minute you want to call your girlfriend / boyfriend / best friend just to say I Love You. Then the next minute you want to call someone that hurt you and just dog them out. It's an emotional book. You feel and you see it. By the end you want to be in love but it won't come without drama.
Rating: Summary: It was ok. Review: This is my first time reading any of Mr. Dickey's books. It was an ok book. I have to say though, some of the characters in the book, were very ghetto and acted a bit much childish. Stephan needed to just slow down and learn how to be by himself. I mean he would jump from one women to the next to the next. Darnell, my goodness how does he end up just up and moving to Paris to be with Tammy. Not very realistic at all. Or is it? The book started off slow, but as I read on it began to pick up with interest. All in all this was an ok book. I plan to read more of Mr. Dickey's books.
Rating: Summary: A EXCELLENT BOOK FROM AN EXCELLENT AUTHOR.... Review: Cheaters by Eric Jerome Dickey is the first novel I read of his and I am glad to say it lived past my expectations... The novel was wondefully written. The characters jumped right off the page with its carefully woven situations. This novel presented situation that I went through, my friends went thru, what most of the world went through..... I am glad that this was the first novel I read.. and I will be reading your novels from now on... Keep up the EXCELLENT WORK.
Rating: Summary: Really Good Review: This book was very good and I was suprised by the ending. I have to read more of his work.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, Absolutely Wonderful!!!!! Review: Eric, you are the bomb! This is the first book I've read by you, acually the one you collaborated with Harris, Channer and the other guy (can't remember his name right now, but liked him too) was really the first. I've heard about MIMC, got to read it too. I already have Liar's Game, can't wait to start that one now. Couldn't put Cheaters down, it was a delight. I know it was FICTION, but bro, that was keepin' it real. Just wanted to let you know I loved it and can't wait to dig into the others that will come and the ones I missed prior to this one. Keep up the great work, and remain inspired! A new fan, Cathy B. (Florida)
Rating: Summary: DEFINETLY ONE OF HIS BEST.....So realistic its scary! Review: I'll keep it short and sweet. This is one of Mr. Dickey's best works. I've read them all to date except Liar's Game and this is one of my favorites from his collection. I say this because the characters in this book are very realistic. While reading it, you'll feel like you can change a few names here and there and afterwards, find yourself reading a book about people you know. Every now and then I would find myself nodding and saying "Mmmh, Hmmm" while reading a passage. The overall jest of the book is about a man whose a dog and has been for some years because that's all he knew how to be as learned by example (i.e. his father) AND a woman who has been dogged so much that she finds herself frustrated and too through with men. The two of them manage to cross paths and soon find themselves dating. Throughout this journey, both of them learn a great deal about themselves and what they want out of each other (A relationship, true and faithful). The book is soaked with twists and turns that keep you wondering what's going to happen next. Within the main plot are a few subplots that deal with the friends of the primary male character (Stephan) and female character (Chante). Mr. Dickey does a superb job at incorporating these stories within the main one. My only criticism of the book is that the ending was a bit disappointing. I felt like I was taken to the highest peak of a roller coaster and then just left there to find my own way back down. Ugh!!! Despite this drawback, it is minor, and the bulk of the story (98.5%) is entertaining and doesn't stop abruptly or leave you hanging. So, if you're a true Eric Jerome Dickey fan, go out and pick up this book. You won't be disappointed. And for those of you who are new to his works, this would be a good one to try out. Then, when you're finished, I highly suggest reading Friends & Lovers and Sisters. They were a delight as well.
