Review: It is becoming extremely hard to decide which Eric Jerome Dickey books I like the best. You display the essence of true African American characters with all our "Drama". Summary: It Is The Bomb!!!
Review: This is a best seller. EJD has done it again. The characters come to life. They seem so real, like next door neighbors and friends. I really enjoyed the book. Even to the last page. Even though all the characters did not win in love. I still enjoyed, how EJD captured each character and filled in the spaces that seem so realistic. Keep up the good work EJD. I know this will be on the movie screen soon.

Review: I would have to agree with the reader about seeing this book on screen. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. Page after page, he kept the excitement coming. I have recommended this book to many friends, and each has enjoyed it just as I have. When is the next one Eric?

Review: Mr Dickey,

You are one of the Bourbon Street Bookclub's favorite authors. Cheaters was chosen for the book of the month and I have to admit that you have never failed us yet. :-) It's hard to believe how you can write both point of views.

I could identify with the characters of your book. Especially Darnell, Dawn, and Tammy characters. I found myself looking into my own relationship.

I always have to force myself not to thumb ahead and work backwards ... but I become so anxious to see what happens since you are known to throw a little surprise at the end (i.e. Milk in my Coffee)

Since you are working on your next book ... how about giving our bookclub a little hint of the release date so we can add it to our COMING SOON page. It gives us something to really look forward to. ([e-mail])

Review: I have enjoyed all of his novels however, this was, in my opinion, his best work to date. While there was not a happy ending for all characters, it was a very real story. This story evoked a lot of laughter and much thought.

Review: I HAVE TO SAY THAT MR DICKEY'S BOOKS ARE LIKE GREASY FRENCH FRIES WHEN YOU'RE DIETING--YOU KNOW THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BUT YOU CAN'T HELP YOURSELF!! ALTHOUGH MUCH OF THE MATERIAL IN CHEATERS IS NOTHING NEW, THE AUTHOR'S WAY OF DESCRIBING HIS CHARACTERS AND THE SITUATIONS THAT THEY FIND THEMSELVES IN WILL SEDUCE YOU AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF TAKING THIS BOOK EVERYWHERE UNTIL YOU FINISH IT. THE ENDING WAS SURPRISING BUT I WAS GLAD FOR THE CHANGE OF PACE. ALL IN ALL, A GOOD, FUN READ

Review: This book was excellent! I'm sure that all young brothers and sisters can relate to the drama in this one! At times I thought he was writing about my friends!. I lost a lot of sleep over this book because I couldn't put it down. This is a GREAT book and I can't wait for the next one!!! If you haven't read it, it is a MUST READ!

Summary: Mr.Dickey truly has a gift!!!!!
Review: Having read all of Mr.Dickey's previous works, I was not at all surprised by this piece of art. He really has a gift for capturing reality on paper and making it come to life. I was so pulled into the book that I could not stop reading it. The characters were so real that I felt like I actually knew them (or someone like them). In the words of Mary J. Blige "All That I Can Say" is Mr.Dickey, keep them coming because you truly have a fan here.

Review: Mr. Dickey, I just want to thank you for a job well done. Now days it seems to be harder and harder to find a book that relates to African-Americans of today. I believe that you have done an excellent job of portraying us as we really are. Negative and positive. And I think you did an even better job of describing every feeling and emotions of us sisters!!! I don't know how you do it!!

I had not heard of your work until a friend of mine was reading "Cheaters" and suggested that I read it too. I didn't put it down until I finished. I've never been so moved by a book. It made me smile and it made me cry.

I am in the midst of reading "Friends & Lovers" which is also very good. I know I will end up reading all of your books. I hadn't found a good book in a while and I was thrilled with your work.

So keep writing those books for us!!!!! God Bless!!!
