Rating: Summary: Do "Cheaters" ever win??? Review: Eric Jerome Dickey has taken us on a ride which answers thatquestion and many more. "Cheaters" lives up to it's name byintroducing us to Stephan, Chante and their friends. Stephan is a cheater and Chante had been cheated on. Their paths cross at a pivotal moment for both of them and story continues to keep our attention thru the very end. The true meaning of love and friendship is very important to the evolution of these characters. I WILL NOT GIVE AWAY ANYTHING!!! BUY THE BOOK!! You won't be disappointed I also recommend Mr. Dickey's previous novels: Sister, Sister; Friends & Lovers; Milk In My Coffee
Rating: Summary: "OOOOOOOOO-Wee" Review: I've never read a book more than once, but there was so much going on in Cheaters (well, let's just say there's a first time for everything). This book had me laughing out loud. I laughed so hard at Toyomi, I threw my book down and lost my page once. This book was absolutely FANTASTIC. At one time, I thought NOBODY could outdo E. Lynn, but Mr. Dickey, you get all props from this book. Keep it coming!!! Bravo, Bravo!!! I'm on my way out right now to buy "Sister, Sister" I don't know how much better your writing can get, but I'm dying to see.

Rating: Summary: Well, Well, Well! Review: I just finished reading EJD's Cheaters even though I've had it since it came out. Again, I'm impressed. His use of words, phrases, analogies and juxtapositions in the words of Oprah, "liquid poetry!" Even though I was saddened at the end, (Dawn and Darnell) I was pleased that EJD took a vastly different approach to Cheating and Cheaters from what I expected. Like Friends and Lovers (incidentally my favorite of his work) his twists and turns were believable, intriguing and pulled you right in. Again, I felt like the main characters were in my living room and my friends with whom I needed to confer, to see how they were doing, until I finished the book. I felt their pain, pleasures and resolutions. He did an amazing job of describing several scenes of which I was pulled into and felt I was right there. He also did an amazing job of weaving characters into each other. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next very soon. My favorite pages...357 "All of that would get old. It always did...358 we sat and digested the moment...my ultimate favorite 359 Her laughter wouldn't be as loud. Her smile, not as strong...Pains lessen. Wounds heal. Scars Remain..." Like I said "Liquid Poetry!" Congratulations Mr. Dickey and Thank you! Everyone would like to stop the change in my pocket.
Rating: Summary: A few minutes of play can be a lifetime of hell. Review: This book was something else. The men in this book got exactly what they deserve. Darnell will realize that he should have stayed with his wife. Jake just totally messed up what he had. Stephan got what he deserved in the hotel. What looks real is not always real. As far as the ladies, don't tell your girlfriends what your man has and how he gives it to you. They will want some of the action too. Eric please hurry and start on another book. Your readers are waiting.
Rating: Summary: The absolute MOST entertaining book I've read in a LONG time Review: Eric Jerome Dickey needs an award. I don't care what kind of award it is, he NEEDS an award. This book hit home with me, and everyone else that I've talked to. It's so real, it's so honest, and it's just so goooood. This book held so much promise to me, I had to go and buy it in hardback, and believe me, that was a stretch, I'm Ms. Cheapo. But it was well worth it. So for all of those who don't know, now you know.
Rating: Summary: I think this is the best he's written yet! Review: I have read all of the books written by this author. Before reading Cheaters, I thought Friends & Lovers was the best book he ever wrote. But now, I have changed my mind. The characters are "real" men and women like you and me, and deal with the hectic world of "dating in the 90s." I'm sure that his character Stephan will remind most women of a man they know; not admitting to anyone (not even their best friends) that they really want a monogamous relationship, but still chasing everything in a skirt. Chante will remind most women of themselves -- especially any woman that has been really hurt and is tired of trying to find "Mr. Right." I really enjoyed the compassionate and mature way he handled the relationship between Tammy and Darnell. He could have written it a lot differently, but I liked the way he showed that "all men are not dogs," and that "some men actually do take their wedding vows seriously." Most importantly, I like the way the friendships and the morals of the characters are tested. You will definitely ask yourself "how far you would be willing to go for a friend and a relationship?" Also note that there are very explicit sexual scenes in this book that will definitely get your blood boiling!!!!! One suggestion: If you have not read Friends & Lovers, I suggest you read it first before reading Cheaters because there are characters from Friends & Lovers that he reintroduces in this book. Knowing the characters of Friends & Lovers will help you follow the story line and understand the feelings that certain characters in Cheaters experience when characters from Friends & Lovers are reintroduced in this novel.
Rating: Summary: The most romantic man with pen and pad(well computer). Review: Once again Eric Jerome Dickey has captured my respect and attention with a this saucy page turner!!!! Men everywhere take note!!!! I can say that I was hooked from day one after reading Friends and Lovers, he is a true romantic at heart. People out there if you don't own any of his books what are you waiting for? This man is definetly on the rise and keeping everyone fiendin' for another best seller. Kudos!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK. YOU MUST BUY IT ! Review: THIS BOOK IS EXCELLENT. ALOT OF THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN THIS BOOK WE ALL CAN RELATE TO IT. WHEN YOU START TO READ THIS BOOK YOU WILL NOT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN.
Rating: Summary: "Sho nuff right!" Review: Child, Child, Child, this Memphis native has out done himself this time. I mean this brother can take real life situations and represent it well with his flawless words, tender jester, and moving volume of attitude. Mr. Dickey can turn romance into something ugly then bring along a jewel that's even better. Cheaters is romantic, devious, truthful, touching, and identifies the true essence of love. Ms. Katina Marzie Chism highly recommends this book to each and everyone.
