Summary: Dickey does it again!
Review: Once again Eric J. Dickey has done it again. I just finished reading cheaters last night on the plane. From the time I picked it up I couldn't put it down. This book gives insight and enlightenment on the many issues surrounding dating among successful African Americans.

Summary: Refreshing
Review: It was so refreshing to read a novel about black people that did not depict us in a negative way. Dickey allowed the reader to peer through a window into both the lives of men and women. I originally did not believe a man could accurately record the actions and thoughts behind these actions, but I was wrong.

Summary: I wanna hug and shake Dickey's hand...well done!
Review: I first picked up this book at the public library. I had to reserve the title because it was so hard to get. I was at my office on a slow day when I decided to pick up the pages and flip thru. Immediately I was taken in with the symbolism of Stephen's 'change jingling in his pocket'. Through out the book the jingling sound appears and plays such an important role. Every character comes to life and in a stange way gives theropy of some sort. I know I sound like I used this book to get thru my own issues, well yeah, I did. This book is deep, and does not lose one ounce of humor. I looked at every character and if I did not find a track of road that I have not crossed I found someone there, a girlfriend, a ex, a family member. There is alot of karma in the novel, as well as "ho soup", laughter, growth, baggage, and alot of powerful deep thoughts. I went out, searched my hometown, til I found a hardcopy of this book, I have marked pages, something I have never done before. Not to use as notes on the male population, but cause wow, Dickey is poetic. So much goes on and yet so smoothly. I recently found myself, carrying around this book like it was my organizer or something. I wanted this novel close to me so that at any given moment, I can open up the pages and find out what happened next. Now that I have come to the ending, well yes, I am saddened like I have lost my favorite sitcom or something...but wait, I haven't read all of his books....NEXT! Dickey is a gifted artist/writer, I suggest you do yourself a favor and add him to your collection of keep sakes.

Summary: Eric Jerome Dickey is the man!
Review: What can I really say besides "I loved this book"? Eric Jerome Dickey never ceases to amaze me. He has a natural talent to write not only believable books but he also makes you laugh in the process. Stephan's character and his problems with some of his women made the book literally a laugh-out-loud riot! I usually read during my train ride into work and back home and I'm sure I had stares several times as I could not stop laughing at some of the stuff Stephan went through. Darnell was also another character that I enjoyed thoroughly and although I'm sure one of his "major" decisions won't settle too well with some people who read the book, I was happy for him in the end. I really could go on and on but I'll just finish with these words...... Buy this book. You'll LOVE it!

Summary: Phenominal
Review: Thu, 13 Apr 2000 8:56:27 AM Eastern Daylight Time From: Thsqueak To: EDickey142

"Cheaters" by (you) Eric Jerome Dickey was/is phenominal. This morning on the F trian to 23rd st. i finished the book. I didn't want it to end. The characters were so real. Every one of your books i can relate to or i know someone that fits that description. I love your books. I attend Hunter College in New York, so i don't get to read them as often as i would like, but when i do it's on. I'm a 25 year old single female, but when I'm reading your books I'm no longer single. Your book is my man. I put my everything into reading your books. I laugh, cry, don't want to let them go because they are so good.

May GOD continue to bless you! And keep up the wonderful work. I'm proud of you for making so many women and men happy about reading a book by a intelligent black man. Go Eric, Go Eric! Have fun on your next book, which i know you will do. Congrats also go out to all the wonderful people that helped you with each book/project. Oh yeah! GOD BLESS your MaDear! Without a strong black woman around, there wouldn't be any strong black men. I know, we can't forget about the strong black men in our lives, but let's be real. Momma's baby, daddy's maybe! Peace, Love and always remember without GOD none of this would be possible.

Whenever you get writers block or just down about something. Remember "The battle isn't yours, it belongs to the LORD."

GOD BLESS

Until the next book! Tanya Hicks Bklyn, NY One of your number 1 fans (we both know you have a lot of #1 fans. LOL) Peace!

Summary: Cheaters
Review: Estrogen population listen up! If you want to know what the testosterone population is thinking - read this book. You will laugh so hard at times, it will lead to tears. MUCH DRAMA! Trifling knows no gender. Dickey is an equal gender offender and supporter.

I know you have heard the song by Destiny's Child when they say "Say My Name," read to find out whose name you really should be saying. This is a song waiting to happen. Babyface.

Ladies you can read about how not to act. How not to be an acomplice in his crime that leads to your emotional imprisonment. Memorize the four F's of a player. Don't hate the player or the game, destroy the board.

The name Victor will have new meaning. Men, all I can say is "hell has no fury.........scorned."

Summary: Who said Cheaters never Win?
Review: After reading Milk in My Coffee I didn't think I'd find another book to compare. Well, that was before I read Cheaters. This book is incredible,Cheaters has all of the twists, suspense, and comedy that's in Milk in My Coffee, but it also has outrageous characters and situations. They're real and consist, yet they keep you on your toes. EDJ envoles the reader in a relationship with characters so you can't help but feel for them, disagree with them, or just stand in disbelief. If you haven't already read this one, get it ASAP!
