Summary: Reader
Review: This was a great book; the main characters are people you know. You could have loved 'em and left 'em or are still listening to your girlfriend telling you about "him". The guys could be your brothers or their messed up friends as they describe their sexcapades.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Keeps going and going...
Review: I picked up this book because I had read the other EJD books and hadnt read one in a while. If I didnt have to go to work, I probably would not have dropped the book because it reads very fast.

He does a great job with the characters and one can readily identify with the characters and their struggles. The characters go through what many go through though in different degrees, from Chante who struggles with defining what she wants from a relationship and with who to Darnell who in his typical male behaviour does not voice his concerns with his wife until it is too late. The book also shows how guys in general tend to cover for themselves when they "play" women in their relationships and how women (a la Karen and Chante) seem to compete for the same pool of men often leading to petty jealousies and back stabbing attitudes.

I finished the book yesterday and bought his new book Liar's Game today and I hope that proves to be a good read as well.

Summary: Cheater, Cheater, Pumpkin Eater :)
Review: This book is a wild roller coaster ride through the lives of six single Black reidents of LA who are all looking for love in all the wrong places. A true page turner, Dickey does not let you down. He sprinkles the pages with humor, lust, romance, love, and wisdom. His references to all the hot spots to eat, dance, and live in LA are also very on point. One lesson learned in this book, is everything has a consequence. So beware to all the cheaters!

Good work, Eric!

Review: I was totally blown away by this book. It's a very good storyline and kept me on the edge of my seat! I can't wait for his next one all of Eric Jerome characters are like friends of mine that I've known my entire life. I recommend this book along with Til Death Do Us Part, by Franklin White and Bernice Mcfadden's Sugar.

Summary: Don't Cheat
Review: A book of conscience. Through it, I grew to appreciate the growth that every adult should seek. A reminder that there is always a consequence for our actions.

Summary: "Life"
Review: Eric J. Dickey you've done it again. I'm not a cheater but I can relate from my younger days. I think you have to read this one with a strong mind because it will make you think about your relationship.

Cheaters (the book) was excited I could hardly put it down. They character in this book was so real. The had real life issues, everyday issues, some of my associates issues. I found myself smiling and yelling out some of my girlfriends names. Keep up the good writing.

Summary: Magnificent!
Review: I have just finished reading Cheaters, and it was magnificent. I saw myself, my friends, and my relatives in each one of the characters. Keep up the good work, Dickey; you are truly a great writer. But one thing, you always mention the pink and green sorority--Alpha Kappa Alpha. What about the other sororities--DELTA SIGMA THETA, Zeta Phi Beta, or Sigma Gamma Rho? All props to my pink and green friends, but we want to know that we have some love from you, too.:)

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I loved it!
Review: This book is not what I expected, it was better. It was so good that I didn't want it to end! Dickey is an excellent storyteller and he wove a seamless tale of friendship, heartache, and conflicted emotions -- the stuff of real life interpersonal relationships. In this cast of characters, the author has included a couple of "dogs", a vamp, a nag, a wannabe militant, a frustrated lawyer/writer and an artsy tpe.

I enjoyed this book a lot more than "Sister, Sister" because the characters are more sympathetic. I also liked the fact that the author didn't come up with fairy tale ending. He spins an interesting tale about folks looking for love (or lust) and the consequences of of bad choices.
