Summary: EXCELLENT LOVE STORY
Review: This was an excellent book. I loved the passion between Sofia and Tobin. This book also had me laughing out loud at the pranks that Sofia pulled. The way Jill had them meet at a young age and fall in love was great. Then she made them wait over a period of years to finally get together. This was believable unlike some other books. I love books with humor in it. This was definitely one of the good ones. I will definitely read all of her books.

Summary: Great way to wrap up the trilogy...
Review: To say Lady Sophia Howard was stubborn would be an understatement. Sophia's mother had died trying to give birth to a male heir. Not bothering to say goodbye, her distraught father immediately rode into battle and was mortally wounded. The spirited, willful and distrusting Sophia then became the ward of her cousin, King Edward I of England. Once she reached womanhood, Edward began thrusting a stream of suitors at the heavily dowered Sophia, but she had rejected every one of them. Then she met a handsome, arrogant knight at a festival, Sir Tobin de Clare. But Tobin had ulterior motives for pursuing her that had nothing to do with her dowry. Ultimately, he and his game left her with a broken heart. But Sir Tobin realized Sophia was the one woman he wanted as a wife, and would stop at nothing to claim her. When Edward announces her betrothal to Tobin without her consent, she's less than thrilled. The battle lines are drawn, but Sophia may have met her match in this war of wills.

"Wicked" is the conclusion to the "Wonderful" and " Wild" trilogy. I have unfortunately been reading these backwards, so I still need to read "Wonderful". This selection is also full of Ms. Barnett's trademark humor. I believe the battle of wills between Sophia and Tobin is the best part of this book. They're both very strong characters, and they each hold their own throughout this story. I gave this book four, instead of five stars, because while it's very good, I did prefer "Wild" and a couple of her other books over this one. By no means should that discourage you from reading this story, it's worth the time. Jill Barnett is a favorite author of mine, and she never fails to deliver to her readers. If her name is on it, you know it's good!

Summary: Wonderful story of lady's and knights
Review: What a wonderful story. JB makes her characters come alive. You can see Sofia in all her glory in both the good and bad times. This story tells of a young ward of the King of Englands (Sofia) who longs to be her own person and do the things that the knights do. It is also the story of love and recognizing gthat sometimes it is not the way your picture it but if you really want it and can perservere it is worth the wait. Tobin takes a while to get his head on straight but is definately the worthwile mate for Sofia. I can't hardly wait to read more JB books. She writes with a lot of humor, if it is a humorous action packed tale you want pick up this romance book!

Summary: Just too many unlikely scenes.....
Review: When I read the opening paragraphs of this book, I was so impressed. I thought to myself, why haven't I been reading Ms. Barnett. Somewhat into the story, I thought I discovered "why". There is absolutely no realism to this book. Sophie's behavior would never have been tolerated by any type of royalty, or even medieval parent. And, then Sophie hides from Tobin; she has a stint with pigs, juggling with a troupe,(naturally, she passes out witha a bump on the head) after cutting her hair to spike-like lengths---Isn't it a rather large coincidence that she happens to land in Tobin's arms from a tree. Must have been a small world they were in! And then the Sophie "battle" scenes....all I can say is Sophie learned very fast, how to best skilled warriors! And, for that spike-like hair to be flowing down her back again, after only months had passed.... I guess some of us wish our hair would grow that fast. It's too bad. The premise of the story was good; Tobin and his problems interesting. But in order to add humor and probably "feminism" to the plot--it became a very far-fetched story!

Summary: WICKED is Barnett's best to date!
Review: WICKED is a true love story spanning many years as the characters grow and mature. I think this is Jill Barnett's most powerful and poignant tale, yet. She is a must buy author for me and never disappoints!
