Summary: A shining star for Jill Barnett.
Review: I have read most of Jill Barnett's books but this one is her best. Her characters, thought process, dialog and the actions of her characaters are beyond compare. I couldn't put the book down once I started it and I found myself chuckling (which I never do) over the actions of Lady Sofia and Tobin. It was a joy to read. Jill Barnett has great insight into people.

Summary: This book is amazingly intriguing, and hilariously funny.
Review: I just finished reading this book and am now a dedicated Barnett fan. The willful ways in which Sofie behaves are truly inspired. Sir Tobins' arrogance is the perfect foil for Sofies' plots. This story will truly make you believe in true love triumphing over all odds.

Summary: The best Barnett book yet!
Review: I just finished reading Wicked. WOW! It kept me up all night. I cannot remember when I have read a book that is so good. It was WONDERFUL! I loved Sofia and Tobin and how they were so stubborn. Their love grew with such beauty. The character were real and true and honest and were developed with such depth and a fine hand I was amazed. Ms. Barnett has outdone herself! I would tell anyone who wants to read a great love story that this is it. You will laugh and cry and read it again, like I am right now. It is one of the best books of the year!

Summary: Not quite up to standards
Review: I liked this story's premise. It took many interesting turns, but it continually left me with a big but..... Sophia bested Tobin in the forest in disguise and he never knew it was her. The story never again mentioned the encounter. I wanted him to know that it was Sophia, and maybe see a little respect given her. The story trailed off too many times and never quite came full circle. Ms. Barnett's descriptions and comparisons of things left me with the feeling that she just couldn't think of a better way to put it. Example: "it was as if a butterfly were right there inside of her heart." How silly. I also found so many typos and poor sentences I lost count. Example: "Since they had come to Camrose, since the day they had wed, she found.....", too much since not enough sense. The characters were likeable, but you just couldn't quite completely respect their plights. Sophia started out as a spoiled brat, with an attitude of "Oh poor me, I live in a palace with the Queen of England treating me as her very own, but I do not have my own parents." Somehow I just could not feel too sorry for her. Tobin came from a womanizing father. Not the best of circumstances, but still it could have been worse, he could have been beaten or abandoned. He grew up very wealthy and was fostered by a very loving man. I think the story tried to make you feel sorry for the characters and it just didn't happen for me. Sorry Ms. Barnett nothing against you. I have enjoyed other stories of yours in the past. Maybe after just having read Christina Dodd's "Outrageous" I got a little spoiled.

Summary: Wicked....Wild & Wondeful
Review: I read Jill Barnett's medieval trilogy and I love this one the most. Although, after reading the first two, I saw quite a bit of mistakes... like for instance, Jill described Tobin De Clare as a blonde boy in Wonderful yet in Wicked, he described him having a raven black hair... There are also other typos and misdescription. However, I have enjoyed the book so much that the mistakes didn't seems too big of a deal. I read this book all in one sitting... i couldn't put it down. I laughed out loud many times. I was also almost in tears once or twice. This is the kind of book I like. It is exciting where in many times I was tempted to browse-read it or even skip some part just to see what's gonna happend next (no, i didn't skip, i know i'll miss out if I do!). Anyway, I read the negative reviews of couple of people about this book and I just laughed at their opinion. I think they need to reread the book so they will understand more of it. Perhaps read the two, Wonderful and Wild. One person mention that most scenes in this book are "far-fetch" as she puts it... I think that each imagination always runs free whenever u read a book esp a Romance story. You do not have to always read between the lines and seriously calculating each scene. For heaven sake, its a book...enjoy it! One person also mentioned that she loves Christina Dodd's "OUTRAGEOUS" book compared to this Wicked by Jill B.. she mentioned she was spoiled by this book... Haha... IT shows how poor her taste is. Look into that book via Amazon and read the reviews, it is humiliating. Anyway, I admit this book have some flaws but it still leaves my heart warm after reading it. I enjoyed it and I believe all should have this book or at least read it. Enjoy!

Summary: Wicked...
Review: I really had a good time reading this book. Lady Sofia was King Edward's cousin and also his ward after her parents' death since she was only a child. She was not like the usual lady with gentle ways. She was actually a very lively girl with lots of mischief up her sleeve, giving the King uncountable headaches. When she spotted Sir Tobin across a sea of people when she was twelve, she fell desperately in love with him. This time she had really met her match. A few years later, King Edward betrothed Soifa to Tobin without their consent. The Tobin-Sofia war erupted right after this...

Enjoy the wittiness of Lady Sofia!

Summary: a good read
Review: I thought this was a really good book, it was one of those that actually makes a reader feel a bit for the characters rather than feeling like they are just reading a story. The only complaint I really have is that is seems that the characters never really truly know each other, which is necessary for true love. The love at first sight thing needs to be resolved with a true knowledge of the other person. However, they understand each other's basic personalities and drives and it is a good read overall. I recommend this book as a good read and I look forward to reading more by Jill Barnett.
