Summary: This book is awesome. I finished so FAST.
Review: An Angel for Emily is great. I recommended for everyone. It gets you all toasty and warm inside. And let you wish that you also have an guardian angel who's like Michael. I simply loved it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very light and funny
Review: I just finished the book and I found it very
light and I had a few laughs while reading
it. Sure, it's not one of her best but the
plot was light (simple, as most of us would
put it) and heart-warming. Actually, I was
amused by the story. Hope to see a new one
from Jude real soon.

Summary: YAWN!
Review: This was a huge disappointment from my favorite author. I have read all of Jude Deveraux's books and I can say that this one read like the Dick and Jane books we grew up with. The characters were uninspiring and the chemistry was nil between the two. The only reason I finished it was because I actually paid money for the book rather than waiting for it at the library. Jude, take your time with your next book. Give us another Knight or Duchess.

Summary: An Angel for Emily is a HUGE disappointment.
Review: After reading some good reviews from readers here at Amazon.com, I bought this new release. I could not believe that this book made it to publication! Jude Deveraux is a good author who consistently creates believable and loveable characters. This book is not worthy of her name. If it was a first attempt by a new author, I would at least be able to forgive the author even if I still disliked the book. The characters are one-dimensional, plot development is halting at best, and there are gaping holes in the storyline (inconsistencies and unresolved issues). I would not recommend this book at all and I hope that Jude Deveraux recovers before her next book as I look forward to all of her releases and don't want to be disappointed again.

Summary: Not one of her best!!!!
Review: This book was very boring and I read a couple of books inbetween this one. Had a very hard time finishing it. It was almost as if it had been written by someone other than Jude Deveraux.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It just makes you feel warm and fuzzy :)
Review: Michael is beyond words--to find a man like him, who knows everything about you and cares so deeply as he does for Emily-----what luck. this book reminded me about my all time favorite book--A Knight in Shining Armour--but left me feeling warm and fuzzy and that everything would turn out just fine.

Summary: The love and goodness of a great mystery!
Review: I just finished reading "An Angel For Emily", and cannot stop smiling! And, I will probably not get the smile off my face or the glow out of my heart for a long time to come.
This book is everything I always hope to find in a book, and more - I love a good mystery, and this book had that "in spades", plus humor and the warmth of the knowledge that all the bad in the world cannot hold a candle to the good in the world.
Not a pollyanna story, but a fantastic mystery read, with the best of love stories thrown in!

Huzzah! Hooray! And every good word for Jude Deveraux - in the words of me pappy " Ya Done Good!!!"

Summary: A winner
Review: Not since her books "A Knight In Shining Armor" and "Sweet Liar" has Jude Deveraux written characters so interesting and believable. I couldn't put this book down (even waiting for the bus in the rain). For those new to Deveraux's books, this is a must read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A book you can't put down
Review: It's was the first Deveraux book I have read and I could not put it down - it was so interesting, romantic and funny. I finished it in 1 1/2 days - great book. If you don't believe in angels you will after you have read the book

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: WHile not my favorite by Jude Deveraux, this is certaily not the worst and was entertaining.

Emily is going back to her hotel after an awards ceremony when she hits a man. She looks outside the car and finds that man she hit to be perfectly well, and claiming to be an angel. Yeah right. But as soon as Emily tries to leave, this angel all of a sudden becomes quite ill and has to be taken to the hospital. We find out that the body our angel has taken is named Michael and is a wanted man.

Michael claims that he has been sent to earth to do something having to do with Emily, and they reach the conclusion that there must be some evil after Emily that Michael needs to get rid of. From then on there is intrigue involving earthly spirits, and humans whoa re trying to get rid of Emily, but of course Michael saves the day and everything is happily ever after.

Emily is such a kind and caring person, but is a frustrating character because she lets everyone walk all over her, but she grows through the book. Michael is not a very good angel because he does not treat all the people he looks after equally and plays favorites. The only reason I rated this novel so high was that I found it hopeful. It was kind of nice to believe that there are guardian angels looking after us, and the idea made me happy, which is what a romance novel should do.

THough not Deveraux's best, this book was still ok, but if you do want Deveraux's best find the Velvet series or the wider Montgomery series, which are all excelent. Happy Reading!
