Summary: A Very Heartwarming Story
Review: Here is a novel where the author took two families and used the season of Kwanzaa to bind them together and teach them valuable lessons. In most of our lives, people are truly sent to help us learn important lessons of life. In this story Khalil was the teacher and Blythe was the student. There was so much that Khalil taught Blythe and in doing so, Blythe was able to battle her own demons of her past and finally making connections not only with herself but her mother and her brother. Blythe's mother also gained so much out of Khalil coming into their lives as it opened the door for her and Blythe to finally communicate. What this story is telling us is how important family is to us, what the spirit of Kwanzaa can bring to help us re-evaluate and reconnect. This is truly a heart-warming story that is such an example of "A Celebration of Love". I would say Khalil had to display lots of tuff love with Blythe, but I think you will enjoy the outcome of this story and learn about Kwanzaa. Thank You Jacquelin Thomas for doing an outstanding job with this story.

Furthermore, I've come to expect great reads from certain authors and Ms. Thomas delivered exactly what I've come to expect from her. The storyline is appealing, believable, and fast pace. I enjoyed the supporting characters in particular the mother. I Highly recommend you buy the book. You will not be disappointed.

Review: Someone Like You was a very challenging story for me to write, but one I enjoyed immensely. I hope you will enjoy it as well. Blythe is a woman with a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas. Khalil not only teaches her to forgive and move on, but he brings her family together through the celebration of Kwanzaa. Although I touched on several subject matters with this story, it is ultimately a love story.

Blythe touched my heart and I was sure hoping she would not let Khalil get away ! After going thru ups and downs in a relationship going no where .She finally meets Khalil ! Is he the one for her? It was hard for her to tell but the writing was on the wall ! Was she going to see it or let Khalil get away ! I also wondered about Blythe's mother ! Did she really love her daughter or was it she just did not know how to show it ! What happened the night of the accident after the arguement between her parents ! What about the time her mother caught her father in his office with another woman ! Yes you have got to read this one to find the answers ! What about that Fashion designer Alda she had those style working at the fashion show during the Kawanza celecbration ! Check this one out for sure !
