Summary: Not her best by FAR
Review: I LOVE JL, but this is her worst work to compare all her work to. The frustration you feel for the heroine is just the begining. The hero is not much of a hero. He does these things to the heroine out of his moronic "justification" to avenge his father. Then just leaves the heroine to deal with the havoc he has wreaked, then doesn't think twice about her. We are suppose to believe through all this that he comes to love her and she him, when I came away thinking, they deserve each other. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking into reading Johanna Lindsey for the first time, wait til you've read her other fantastic books to get an idea of how she usually writes, this isn't it. I gave her 3 stars because she's the best in romance authors today, and everyone has an off time, or a bomb. hope this helps anyone interested in reading her books.

Summary: One of my first reads in the romance field.
Review: I originally read this title many years ago and was absolutely impressed with the storyline, the characterization, and the descriptions. This book is what originally made me "Love A Lindsey" and nothing about it has changed in years. A lot of people don't realize that this book was written over 20 years ago, and in the 70's romance was not "politically correct". Who wants it that way, when you have spectacular stories and terrific "connection" between characters? As far as I'm concerned, this is one of Lindsey's BEST.

Summary: Paradise? Wild
Review: I read this book early in my love affair with Johanna Lindsey heros. This was one of two (A Pirate's Love being the other) I wish had gotten away from my stack of books to be read. The hero was too angry (abusive). The only reason it gets two stars is for a strong beginning which sets up a potentially great spurned love scenario. I wish the rest of the book had lived up to its beginning. Perhaps a good replacement title for this place on the list would be Once a Princess.

Summary: Extraordinary
Review: I read this book twice. Once when it orginally came out and about a week ago. Both times I spent a whole day reading and enjoying the personalities of Corinne and Jared. I am a romantic and I love the fact that he tried to get his revenge through her but in turn she got her revenge. I particularly enjoyed their fighting matches. It kept me entertained for a long time. I will reread this book again in a few years. I hope she writes another book with similar characters because all her other books I didn't find as entertaining.

Summary: Extraordinary
Review: I was really looking forward to reading this book because it seemed so unlike the traditional romance. This is the last of all Lindsey books available for me to read and I have to admit I was rather disppointed and left quite frustrated. Both Corinne and Jared have such domineering and tightly strung personalities that I dispaired of the two ever getting together. They clashed so often that their fights seemed to make up most of the story-line. It actually seemed like they would not reconcile until the very end where we are given no real reason why they refused to believe anything of eachother. Even more frustrating was that hardly anything was said to resolve their distrust and it is immediately assumed that everything is forgiven.
On top of this, we are supposed to believe Corinne is an extremely strong and independent woman, who only wants freedom. Yet whether we could put her constant tears and annoying reaction to being raped to hormones I really don't know. her father disgustingly accepts his "most beloved daughters" rape as her fault and easily accepts Jared's request for her hand.
I had an overall feeling of confusion about these characters and how they could possible end up being happy together. Although this is hardly the worst romance I have read and I must admit it is a very unique concept I just can not bring myself to praise this work like I can most of her other titles.

Summary: Dreadful Story
Review: I won't describe the story since others have already outlined it and in fact I wish I read them before reading the book myself. I have been a Johanna Lindsey fan for years and have read almost ALL her books, including books with violent themes, but I can honestly say that this is the first book that I have finished and felt that hero will likely repeat his abuse. I know the characters aren't real, but I love to think characters in books move on to have beautiful lives together and this wasn't the feeling I had finishing Paradise Wild. The book should have a built in scary song chip that plays when you're reading the last chapter, because the thought of them sailing off to Hawaii together was not a happy ending.

Summary: NOT your traditional romance
Review: I'm a fan of Jude Deveraux, and like her books, this one really had some meat to it. I get so tired of "traditional" romances that are predictable and boring. This one is a good, easy read where things happen that you don't expect. I've only read two of Johanna Lindsey's books (I think, I've read so many romances that I get them mixed up). The other (Until Forever) was not nearly as good - it had the predictable qualities that bore me. This one was a great read that I think left something to be desired from those that were only looking for your usual romance stories (I think that explains the negative reviews).

Summary: I couldn't put it down, it kept me up all night!
Review: I've only recently become a JL fan. I've read 17 of her books in just over a month and half! Paradise Wild was so descriptive I could actually smell the beautiful flowers of Hawaii. I cried, I laughed. I felt Corrine's anger as well as her love. I felt her joy when she first bonded with her son, Micheal. Johanna Lindsey can sure bring out every emotion, with her words. Thanks Johanna!

Summary: I loved this book!!!!!
Review: Johanna Lindsey is an excellent writer and this shows her skill. Corinne is so stubborn and proud and Jared is the man for her...It is excellent...Although things were wrapped up a little quickly, it is still a must read!
