Summary: One of the best novels I have read in a long time
Review: I *really* enjoyed this book.

Well written, with interesting, believable main characters, and a plotline to keep you hooked. Ann O'Leary has also done a great job with the supporting characters, I found them to be well fleshed out. A great job all round, congratulations Ann.

This *is* a book that you will not want to put down after you start it, so don't start reading too late at night :)

I'm now off to search for more work by this author.

Summary: Complicated Women
Review: I enjoyed this book very much. These were complicated women caught offguard by basic emotions. It was very erotic without being trash --in short, a wonderful, romantic, realistic book I heartily recommend.

Summary: Story Description
Review: I wanted to write a love story that explored why people so often fear and resist that delicious free fall into the depths of passionate love, denying themselves the chance of real happiness. In THE OTHER WOMAN, Fiona resists a powerful sexual attraction, knowing where it will lead, while Joanna becomes obsessed with that attraction, initially blind to its greater ramifications.

Joanna Kingston, a successful real estate consultant, believes that the notion of deep and lasting romantic love is an illusion that inevitably leads people to heartbreak. She has always avoided emotional entanglements by keeping her affairs short and sweet, and by choosing lovers whose feelings for her don't rise much above their navels. But her cynicism provides no protection when, by chance, she meets the cool, stunningly beautiful, compassionate and emotionally strong Dr. Fiona Maddison.

Fiona's instant attraction to Joanna worries her. Joanna's raw beauty, athletic body and chic nonchalance are hard to resist. "But she knew all about those sexy charmers with drop-dead smiles who liked to keep on the move, and she was finished with that kind of woman. A friendship with Joanna would be ideal, and that was all." Joanna, wanting a no-strings affair, hotly pursues her, but Fiona, knowing that she would fall for Joanna hard, does her best to keep her distance. Her recent romantic difficulties have made her understandably cautious, and she's determined not to be hurt again.

Joanna, already weakened by recurring dreams about her troubled distant past, finds her feelings for Fiona tumbling into unfamiliar territory--both frightening and wonderful--that is difficult for her to deal with. She begins to realize that she must face the emotional obstacles blocking her path to peace of mind and love.

The story takes the reader on a journey into Joanna's past, and into her heart. There are some surprising twists and turns along the way, and she learns that things are not quite what they seemed to be. Set in Melbourne, the hot, dry landscape of the northern Victorian bushland, and the tropics of Far North Queensland, the story is intensely passionate and includes some poignant and heart rending scenes. There are also many moments of humor and good fun. I enjoyed writing this book, and I hope readers will enjoy it, too.

Summary: LOVE IS A WONDERFUL THING!
Review: Yes, love IS a wonderful thing and should not be taken or handled lightly. The characters, Fiona and Joanna, demonstrate the reality that though love is often replete with doubts, fears, complications; it MUST NEVER be denied. I was delightfully caught-up in the entanglements of the characters' personalities and pasts. I was equally relieved to have "worked through" it with them.

Summary: Just Three Words...hot...hot...HOT!
Review: You've already got a pretty succinct synopsis from the author herself, Ann O'Leary. Believe her.

If you want a hot--can't put it down-- all through the night--wake up sated or at the very least smiling--read--This Is The One.

O'Leary's funny, contemporary, languid prose and dialogue, will draw you into an intense love story of wounded women who find each other down Aussie way. Never mind that her character profiles of these two lovers may leave you thinking..."yeah, too beautiful to be true," but your read will leave you dreaming, shaken, and definitely stirred. What else is fiction for?

Naiad addicts or readers in general, may not even mind the ususal signature 250 pages or less package. Live long and prosper, water-nymphs around the world.
