Rating: Summary: An Intrigued Reader Review: Another thoroughly entertaining Connie Mason book. Her romancenovels are almost always top notch. Lion and Ariana are strong andproud, and Connie Mason makes you really want to root for them to work out their problems and live happily ever after. There are certain traits that are consistent with all Connie Mason books. She always writes great sex scenes (and plenty of them!), and raise your hand if you've ever read the phrase "steel encased in velvet" when describing the hero's ( ). You won't be disappointed with this book - it's a keeper! END
Rating: Summary: A King's Favorite Knight Awarded A Saxon Heiress... Review: Another winner from Ms. Mason. Exciting and romantic, what we come to expect from Ms. Mason's compelling tales of love and triumph. Filled with politics of the time (1067-1072) and a love so great it conquers all. Ms. Mason brings to life the times and flavors of the period and brings you right into her world. William the Conqueror's most favored knight, Lord Lyon of Normandy was awarded for great service to the crown an estate worthy of a Duke and with it, it's heiress, Lady Ariana of Cragmere for wife. The problem? She is 14 and is showing signs of being a sharp-tongued wench that he has no use for. So he sets her in an abbey to grow into a demure wife worthy of the fierce Lion of Normandy. Five years later, by the King's decree, Lyon comes for his wife and what he finds takes his breath away. Gone is the little girl, but in her place is a woman worthy of Kings. Although her sharp-edged tongue is still in place, Lyon can't help but be obsessed with his wife. Born enemies, united by a wrathful and powerful king, Saxon and Norman must live with one another in peace. Will loyalties shift in this household rent asunder? Will Ariana betray her countrymen with this Norman invader, or will she join them in their quest to overthrow a tyrant king? And can love save their souls from impending doom... Tracy Talley~@

Rating: Summary: Great history, romance, and love scenes Review: I have been a fan of Connie's for years. I read everything she puts out, usually over and over again. That's what I did with this book. I orginally read it years ago and recently found it again and was just a thrilled this time. Connie has a way of making even the most fierce heros vulunerable and the weakest heroines strong and courageous. Her characters always compliment each other so well that if they were real we know they'd be together always. "The Lion's Bride" starts off right after William the Conquerer has taken England. One of his knights,Lyon, who saved his life, has now been charged with the Protection of Cragmere, the home of Ariana. Ariana is determined not to let William's Lion rule her. But Lyon is under orders to Marry the wench and take control. He does but then sends her to a convent for 5 years until he needs his wife. Ariana goes thru with the marriage and retreats to the convent but conspires with her former betrothed, Edric. Now 5 years later Ariana has grown into a beautiful woman and Lyon has need of his wife. Lyon is to return to Cragmere and help prevent a rebellion. So he sends for his wife, hoping to find her docile. Well that's not to be. Ariana is a strong willful woman who speaks her mind. Lyon is struck with her beauty but cannot trust her not to betray him or his heart. Ariana is also amazed when she returns to find that the man who she has hated for years is stirring feelings in her that confuse her. Together they must follow their passions to wherever they lead or else they will burn out. The book is filled with Connie's famous erotic love scenes that could make the book erupt in flames. You can always count on her books to do that. I found this book to be very enjoyable and as always i look forward to others by Connie.
Rating: Summary: Connie "Sizzles!!" Review: This is a sexy & wonderful love story about 2 strong-willed & immensely proud people who were made for each other! Passionate & intense chemistry between the Lion & his Bride! You won't put it down. Satisfaction guaranteed!!
Rating: Summary: Lion's Bride Review: This was a great book, I read it over and over again, and each time same part makes me want to cry when Lion gives up his honor to save the women he loves. A typical male to always trying to make the woman jealus, just wish there was a fight seem between Ariena and Lady Zabrina. Great book, love these type of romance books.
Rating: Summary: Ms. Mason is an EXCELLENT storyteller! Review: This was my first Connie Mason novel and I was thrilled with it. Being a huge Cassie Edwards fan and having depleted the supply at hand, I searched for a compelling new author. The Lions Bride was riviting. Lyon and Ariene were what you dream about. Both so strong willed yet so yearning for each other. This book was strong, sexy and yet very heart warming. I will be purchasing many more books by Ms. Mason.
Rating: Summary: Great history, romance, and love scenes Review: To date, I have not read a Connie Mason book that I didn't like. She is an excellent story teller. This one was not quite as exciting as some of the others, but it was still terrific. Lyon of Normandy is a bastard knight, who has no land or title. Still, he is a fierce warrior, loyal to the death to King William of Normandy. Because of Lyon's loyalty, William gifts the conquered land of Cragmere to him. The King also gives him the last living heir to the land: 14 year old Lady Ariana. The king insists that they marry, in order to make Lyon a titled Lord. Lord Lyon is not about to bed a child, so he sends her to a convent to be raised into adulthood by nuns. He leaves her there, forgotten, for 5 years. At the insistence of the king, Lyon finally goes to reclaim his bride. Instead of receiving a docile young woman, he finds his bride to be as angry and resentful as he left her. Over the next weeks, they struggle through jealousy over one another's past relationships, as well as Ariana's hatred towards her husband's people who killed her family and stole her land. Lots of ups and downs, exciting battles, terrific love scenes (Mason never disappoints with her love scenes!), and mystical twists. I believe I would have enjoyed the story more, if Ariana had been a bit more proactive. She was brave, surviving through canings at the convent, and keeping her chin up during confrontations with enemies. However I would have liked to see her at least try to do something to save herself from dire situations... perhaps attempting to escape the convent, or attempting to escape a later marriage that she is forced into by King Malcolm of Scotland. Instead, she just accepts these things and waits for someone else to get her out of bad situations. Do something, woman! Other than that, it was a great read. It never got boring.
Rating: Summary: Connie, can't get enough Review: When I first heard about a book called The Lion's Bride by Connie Mason, I thought 'no way it can't be good!'.Then I read all the reviews on this web site and I knew I had to get theis book. I am glad that I did. The way Connie Mason writes this book is absolutely fantastic. I have read many of Connie's book and this is one of my favorites. The relationship between Ariana and Lyon is so explosive that you get burnt just by reading it. The plot of the book is just amazing. If anyone sees this book, don't think twice; BUY IT! I could not put this one down and I look forward to reading many, many more.
