Summary: WRONG BOOK COVER
Review: I bought this book based on the bookcover. After receiving the book and reading it,the story line has nothing to do with with the bookcover. After much research, this bookcover is the same as the earlier edition of a book by Lisa Riley,At Last...The book was a pretty good read but I could not get over the fact that a Professer had no problem sleeping with a student..

Summary: Looks Can Be Deceiving . . .
Review: I love to read interracial romance. I researched this book. I read all the reviews and even searched for it on other readers WMBW lists. However, this is not an interracial romance. Dispite the cover, both lead charaters are African-American. I thought that might be of interest to some of you out there.

The plot--very weak. It can barely stand on it's own feet. The author makes no real character establishment. I don't really like Grayson. He's very particular, and lets face it, nobody talks like that! The author tries too hard to convience us that he is well spoken, but is comes off as silly.

Sorry, Kim Louise, this was a very dull book. I fill like I wasted my time. Ms. Louise could learn a lesson or two from Serissa Glass.

Summary: Another Hit
Review: Kim Louise is back with another great book. This story includes Sonji Stevens who has decided to return to college after she droped out years before. On the first day she learns of the tough english Professor Gilmore. She is determined to get a good grade out of this sexy man.

Grayson Gilmore has heard the many names the students call him. And he knows that majority of them fit him well. When Sonji comes to his class late the first day, he is drawn to her beauty but can't except the tardiness.

After being introduce to the college website to find a mate, Sonji uses this as on outlet in dealing with the professor. When Sonji and her cyberspace love decides to meet she is shocked when her love is revealed.

I really loved the way that Kim developed the relationship between Sonji and Grayson. It was love/hate in the beginning but love overcame all the obstacles that they both had to face. The secondary characters helped to bring everything together. Andi and Sebastian as well as Kyle and Jerika could have had a story of their own. I hope that we will see a story with Byron finding his soulmate soon.

Summary: July Book Of The Month For Shades Of Romance Magazine 4 1/2*
Review: Kim Louise's second book, A Touch Away is a perfect follow up to Destiny's Song. She draws you into the characters internet courtship. Their beautiful words to each other touches your soul. You find yourself hoping they will get together.
Sonji Stephens had about giving up on men. Her latest boyfriend fell to mention that he was married. Deciding she needed a change. She goes back to school, enrolling in a local university.
The class everyone warned her to drop was taught by a drop dead gorgeous, Grayson Gilmore, a man with a few issues of his own. Their attraction was instant. However they chose to keep the student/professor relationship, both afraid to pursue more.
At the University, Sonji meets a couple, Andi and Sebastian. Andi introduces Sonji to internet dating. Sonji sends out a message wondering if anyone will reply. To her surprise someone does. It begins a new friendship. One where two secret emailers look forward to reading each other's messages.

Sonji's love life is perking up but her school life needs a little lift. Grayson's class is harder than she expected. She can't figure out what she needs to do to improve her grade in his class.
When a paper she turns in receives a good grade, Grayson wonders if she copied it. Sonji did have a little help from her internet friend, but she's not about to tell her professor.
To Sonji and Grayson's surprise they find out they have more in common than they expected, a nice twist to their relationship.
Grayson has demons he has to let go before he can commit to someone. Will they destroy his relationship with Sonji before he does?
I highly recommend picking this novel up. It's a quick read, you float right through it so fast. You're sadden that the book is over.
Ms. Louis hinted to a sequel, which has me looking forward to revisiting these wonderful characters again.

Review: Kim Louise's second novel 'A Touch Away' is a good read. Sonji Stevens has waited 15 long years to return to college to get her degree. Handsome professor Grayson Gilmore is aware of the names his students call him behind his back. He is a tough task master who does not tolerate coming to class late or handing in work less than he believes his students are capable of.Sonji's new found friends, Andromeda (called Andi) and Sebastian are the ones who alerted Sonji of the infamous Professor Gilmore or "PG", i.e, 'pretty God-awful', as he is sometimes called. Andi proves to be a good friend as she helps Sonji get through the process of late registration and settling in to college life. When Andi finds out that Sonji has no one special in her life she sets out to fix that too. At Andi's urging Sonji signs up for e-mail at 'BlackLuv.com.' "BlackLuv is'true love." Summary: More than a Learning Experience.......
Review: Move over Rochelle, Brenda, and Deirdre because Kim Louise makes her characters sizzle to a slow burn. If you like Destiny's Song then A Touch Away will not leave you disappointed. Sonji Stephens had a wake up call after a relationship gone way wrong brought her full circle into pursuing her dream of a college degree. She was not prepared for the soOO-soOO fine professor that could not only stop your breath with his sex appeal but make you hold your breath waiting for your grade with his tough as nails style. Grayson Gilmore Ph.D bourgeois attitude did not give truth to the man underneath, a man hidden by years of unbearable pain, guilt, and unforgiveness.

Meeting Andi and Sebastian was a major find for Sonji, the young couple helped her get readjusted to college life and offered her friendship. With Andi's insistence Sonji was introduced to a website that not only offered free e-mail but proved to be a new beginning for both her and Grayson.

When Sonji first walked into Gray's class late, neither could predict the importance they would play in one anothers lives, although they both felt an undeniable attraction. Sonji's presence in Gray's life ignited the spark for his return from the nightmares and demons that possessed his dreams and soul. Gray's presence in Sonji's life forced her to face her fear of failure, together they found closure and lasting love.

Grandmother Zinga's memory might prove other interesting disclosures for Gray and his brother Kyle. Possibly allowing another visit with the Gilmore family, I especially like Kyle's wife Jerika, their story would be interesting. Andi and Sebastian are definitely characters that deserve their own story. Bryon deserves someone special too. Great book, I will add this to my list of re-reads.

Summary: A Touch Away
Review: The books was good, but the pictures was misleading. I enjoy reading books on interracial romance and was looking forward to this book. If you look at the picture you would think that Grayson was White and Sonji was black. Well Sonji is black but so was Grayson. Besides that I thought the book was a nice read.

Summary: **Sigh** Just beautiful!!!
Review: Why did I find it so difficult to put this book down? Because it was...of the CHAIN!! I would recommend this book for all who are insightful or for those who are in search of a good read. A Touch Away engulfs its audience into the lives of Sonji & Grayson and refuses to let go untill the very end (which has a little suprise in its own). You would think that a 19 year old college student wouldn't have time to do any "extra" reading but this book is SOOO good that you will find yourself MAKING time to read it...it's that good!!!!!
Bravo Ms. Kim Louise!!!
