Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Story moved right along. I liked suspense but thought the author could have eliminated the ending chapters. Once reader knows "who done it" the ending chapters seemed unimportant.

Summary: Just the right mix.
Review: This book was great! Just the right mix of romance and suspense. This was my first book by Christiane Heggans, and it won't be my last!

Summary: It was Great
Review: This was a great book and what a page turner. Kate and Mitch what a team, I also had a 13 year old daughter who was just like Alison. Kate had a lot of goodness about her but was so afraid of being hurt again. I love Christiane's books, so far this is my favorite one. And of course who of us does not like a happy ending, this would make a great movie!!!

Summary: too easy
Review: Two thirds of the way through this book I gave up and read the ending because I had long ago guessed the conclusion and was tired of how slowly the plot was unraveling--not a good aspect of a "ghost story." In addition, authors run a big risk when writing about writers and the process of writing and Heggan does not pull if off here at all. There is a tone of know-it-allness that I found too annoying to get around. The most damaging thing of all -- this book wasn't scary.

Summary: Romantic suspense at its' very finest
Review: Washington DC defense attorney Kate Logan is shook after her client, Tony Fuente, is convicted of murdering Lilly, a law clerk from Kate's firm. To prepare for the appeal, Kate decides to dig into Lilly's investigation of a prostitute ring. As she struggles with helping Tony, her former spouse Eric was being blackmailed by a prostitute, who is now dead. Eric is the prime suspect. Because of the pleadings of Alison, her estranged daughter, Kate agrees to help Eric prove his innocence.

Police detective Mitch Calhoon is also looking into both cases even though his expert testimony helped convict Tony. While, he and Kate work together trying to insure that justice is served, they become attracted to one another. However, some powerful folks in the city want the truth to stay hidden and if that means killing Mitch, Kate, and Alison, so be it.

SUSPICION is an exciting, fast-paced romantic suspense whose dual story lines successfully blend together into a fabulous mystery. The lead protagonists are phenomenal individuals struggling with their professional and personal lives, while trying to come to grips over their growing attraction to each other. Already highly regarded for her contemporary suspense novels, Christiane Heggan enhances that reputation with a story that will intrigue readers.
