Rating: Summary: "Send No Flowers" Is A Dozen Roses! Review: First of all I have to say that I just sat here tonight and devoured this book in one sitting! I didn't realize when starting Send No Flowers, that it was a follow up to Breakfast In Bed. This story was about Alicia, who was suppossed to marry Carter in Breakfast In Bed. I enjoyed Alicia and Pierce both, along with Alicia's fiesty boys, Adam and David. The boys really added spunk to the book because they craved a father so bad and were young enough to say whatever comes to mind! It was nice to see Alicia meet a good man like Pierce after all she had been through. I must say though, that the "problem" that Pierce has is pretty much predictable, and you can pretty much guess how the book is going to end. And another thought I had is "where does the title Send No Flowers come from?". But definetely, Send No Flowers is another winner for Sandra Brown!
Rating: Summary: Another Good one Review: First of all...if you are looking to read this book I recommend you read "Breakfast in Bed" first. I did not know when I started this book that this was a spin off of B-n-B! I had already read it but if you had not then Send No Flowers could ruin the ending for Breakfast in Bed. Otherwise I enjoyed this book a lot!
Rating: Summary: Great story Review: I absolutely loved this book, I was in the bookstore with my sister and she picked up this book, I read the first line of it and knew I had to get it too, it was really fun to read and I have recommended it to almost everyone i know, and everyone has said that they loved it too! I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good romance novel.
Rating: Summary: Light on the mind and unfortunately predictable!!! Review: I actually got the book after reading the first chapter. I imagined that it was going to be an interesting, maybe even enthralling read. Though I must admit that the writer has a good writing style, I found the story very predictable. I felt that reading the first and the last chapter would have sufficed. There were quite a few times that I thought the story would take an interesting bend to the one that I imagined, but alas it went down the same road travelled by many 'romantic' novels. All in all it was a light read but too too predictable.
Rating: Summary: Pleasing, but not her best. Review: I am a great admire of Mrs. Brown's work. I believe that I have read all of her books. This was a good book indeed, but others have been far better. Bittersweet Rain kept my interest far better than this one did.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: I did not know this was a reprint until I read the reviews on the book. I don't care what anyone else thinks, I think it it's a great love story that could be realistic. So often love stories are involved in danger and mistrust, it was a pleasant change to see something that took on a different flair. The two main characters were believable, caring and considerate of each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to those who want a romantic love story.
Rating: Summary: This was a good light romance to read. Review: I enjoyed this book. Although it was a reprint I had not read it and I thought it was a light romance. I noticed that it was a continuation of "Breakfast in Bed" and I thought that was great because I wanted to find out about Sloan and Carter.
Rating: Summary: This is a REPRINT!! Review: I hate it when they do that! I have read every book she has ever written, even when she wrote using a fake name for the author. These older books are great, but I've read it! Sandra Brown got better and better as a writer. I almost picked up the new hardback thinking, "Wow, great, a new one!" To my dismay, after searching inside--found it was written long ago! I cannot wait for another NEW one! All of her books are fun!!
Rating: Summary: Sandra Brown has come a long way since this one !!!!! Review: I have read all of Sandra Brown's latest books since probably 1997, and this one is obviously one of her earlier novels, as she has come so far in her writing ability since this. However, her ability to write the eroticism surprised me, as none of her later novels contain this consistent display of sexual eroticism. These parts of the book were written with skill and were sensitive to the subject matter at hand. The rest of the book, however, was pure "fluff", and that's not what the Sandra Brown of today is made of. She has come a long way since this book, and I would not recommend it for a current reader of Brown novels. They would truly be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Great for light reading! Review: I love Sandra Brown's writing. This book is very different. The characters fall in love almost immediately, but the love they share is great. I still would like to have more plot and depth to her books.
