Summary: Vintage Crusie
Review: More so than "Manhunting" or "Getting Rid of Bradley", this book shows us how Crusie has developed into the writer of such great titles as "Crazy for You", "Tell Me Lies", "Welcome to Temptation", and "Fast Women". Although written in the short format of pulp romance, the humor, the wit, the passion (yeah, lots of that), the wonderful (and believable) dialog is all there. Crusie has such a knack for taking impossible situations (and let's face it, they are all really wacky, all of the books) and making them believable and highly enjoyable. To be frank, this is the kind of book that I would NEVER read, but since it was early Crusie I did. I am so very, very glad I did. Worth finding - it's terrific.

Summary: Charming
Review: Nina, 40, gets a manic-depressive dog from the pound. The dog, Fred, meets her downstairs neighbor, Alex, and brings him home. Alex, 30, is immediately attracted to his upstairs neighbor, Nina. What follows is a very charming, very funny story about two people falling in love. It's a short book. I read it in one day. Very satisfying.

Summary: Romantic Times Review
Review: The incomparable Jennifer Crusie's wonderful and thoroughly entertaining wit is given a chance to take center stage this month in ANYONE BUT YOU (4.5). From the moment a 40-year-old book editor is introduced to her neighbor-a handsome 30-year-old Emergency Room doctor-by her spirited dog, sparks and witty dialogue fly. Ms. Crusie does it like no one else.

Summary: Why is this book out of print?
Review: The previous reviews have said it all. But if the publisher wants to make a TON of money, re-release this book. I can read this book once a month! JC is a fantastic writer and I plan on collecting all her books.

Review: This was the very first Jennifer Cruise book that i ever read and I loved it. It got me hooked on this women forever before I was even halfway done. I love the crazy thoughts of the characters she puts into the writing (i.e. Quinn in "Crazy For You") into the writing. Nina and Alex make an awesome couple. Not to sound too korny, but this is deffinately a must read!!!!!
