Summary: A Major Disappointment...
Review: This book got an A on the All About Romance website. It's also set in a time and place other than Regency England--Virginia in the 1730s--which is uncommon and thus interesting to me.
However, soon I saw it was one of those I hate you, let's have sex books. There wasn't much action--and for awhile, I appreciated all of the details about plantation life in Virginia--but that wore out real fast, when the only encounters between the H&H were silly non-arguments only invented to create fake tension.
Then there were the non-stop gasps. It seems everyone was "gasping" in the 1730s. Two or three times a page.
I stuck with it, though, because I truly enjoyed reading about America in the 1730s, until the over-the-top bad guy pulled his final stunt. I shan't spoil it, but it didn't seem to me anyone would pull a move like this, even given the setting and time.
I was basically sorry I wasted my time. Ms. Clare needs to think of a plot BEFORE she starts writing.

Summary: Should be titled "HOT" Release
Review: YES to romance and YES to love but an even BIGGER YES to the passion in this the book. I have just started reading this style of storyline. I hope Ms. Clare has another coming out soon bcse other romance novels cannot compare!
