Summary: a great read!
Review: I must admit that i was surprised by this one. I hadnt heard anything about Sandra Kitt and expected her book to be like all of the other "sistergurl" novels that are coming out of the woodwork--- heavy on drama, light on substance. Was i wrong! Kitt is an EXCELLENT writer. I loved Between Friends and cannot wait to read more of her work. The one thing i would suggest to Kitt is that she find another publisher. Its a shame that she isnt receiving the press that McMillian and others are getting. She certainly deserves it!

Summary: Not Impressed
Review: I must say I was a bit disappointed by this book. I read "Close Encounters" in two days while it's taken nearly 3 weeks to struggle through this one. This is the 3rd book by Sandra Kitt that I've read, but none of the characters were as interesting as those in "The Color of Love" or "Close Encounters". I found the character of Dallas Oliver to be completely unsympathetic and a bit whiny. How many times does the reader need to be reminded that she's bi-racial? I only wish Dallas and Alex had the chemistry that would have made the story much more interesting.

Summary: Disappointing Book
Review: I normally love Sandra Kitt's work, but I couldn't get into this book. It took me a long time to read it. I felt that Dallas and Valerie's relationship was unbelievable. They didn't seem to be best friends. The other characters were like cardboard cutouts. I don't think there characters were fully drawn out. I hope that her next novel will be better.

Summary: This book was awful
Review: I've never read any of Sandra Kitt's other books, but I must say that I was VERY disappointed in this one. The book had no depth to it. I thought the character Dallas was a total wimp. In every paragraph she was afraid to speak her mind about something. Hopefully, the other books by Sandra Kitt are better than this one,

Summary: Sandra's is an oustanding storyteller!
Review: I've read most of Sandra's books. She is an excellent writer! She does her homework well and it shows. (maybe that's attributed to her current occupation, I don't know). This was an excellent read. I only wish she would graduate from the Harlequin Romance level to the Ficitional Novel. We need more people like her, who have the ability for highly descriptive details. She paints the visual picture so well.

Summary: an ordinary story with a lot of mysteries
Review: ok...this wasnt a boring book to me...i actually liked it although i wouldnt mind putting valerie in her place...she was too insecure and if she was my friend i'll been told her where she can send that funky attitude but it wasnt all about her which was nice to read..the other characters were interesting...i have to say that ms kitt did a good job with the mystery on who was megan's father....and who was alex to the marco's...the other lines just fell in place to make it interesting and well who said that happy endings are always long...*S*

Summary: Friends and Lovers
Review: Sandra Kitt did it again with another great book. Alex and Dallas are such great characters and they're so good together. I thought it only natural that they end up together. He's been with her through some of her toughest times and he's truly the bestest friend she's ever had. Dallas helped Alex to realize his worth while Vin continued to deny him the love he always wished to receive. Valerie really pissed me off. I thought she was fake, rude, insecure, and Dallas deserved a better friend than her. All in all, from start to finish, you'll want to read more of this book.

Summary: Keeps You guessing
Review: Sandra Kitt is a very thorough writer who tackles interracial relationships in their entirety. Between Friends depicts Black and White relationships at every angles. Its underlined message of the importance of love and friendships is apparent in this book as well as throughout all of her works. This book mysteriously keeps you guessing and unfolds wonderfully. The only complaint I have about this book is that the ending did not provide closure for me in the relationship between Valerie and Dallas.
