Rating: Summary: Rachel's Destiny is a healing for our culture. Review: I am a Jungian analyst and Astrologer. I wrote Rachel's Destiny to explore and help heal the war between the sexes, and the envious brother sister archetypes which grip our culture, in preparation for Aquarius, the Age of Universal Brotherhood and Sisterhood. To read it is like getting a much needed chiropractic adjustment on the archetypal spiritual level, and to travel back in time through the deep inner layers of your psyche on an epic journey of Judeo-Christian karmic release.
Rating: Summary: This is a MUST read! Review: In retelling the story of the rise of patriarchal religion through the eyes of a Goddess dedicated priestess, Rachel's Destiny provides a unique explanation for the historical status of women in the western world. Through the poetry of Julie Bresciani's words, I found answers to questions I dared not ask while as a young girl attending (Christian) religious studies. For example, why are so few women major players in shaping western theology? In describing another place and time - a place where magic resided and a time when the feminine had power - Rachel's Destiny reminded me of another powerful tale of spirituality, The Mists of Avalon. But, whereas Marion Zimmer Bradley's book described events known only in folklore, Rachel's Destiny details the relationships among known biblical figures. The book's start is slow but the pace soon picks up and when I had finished reading the book's 417 pages, I found it oh so short! I would recommend Rachel's Destiny to anyone with an interest in historical literacy but, in particular, I think it is a must read for women because 'Once Upon A Time' there were other realities shaping women's destinies.
Rating: Summary: Rachel's Destiny as written in the stars Review: Julie Bresciani's book is a joy to read and more importantly is restorative to the female psyche. This is a must read for all those seriously interested in spirituality. I feel so strongly about her work that I imagine the angels themselves came down from on high to inspire Julie to write this living work of "heart". I anxiously await the next volume!
Rating: Summary: The Best Book I've Read in 10 years! Review: Rachel's Destiny was so important to me. It struck 'core' issues in me in a way no book has done for a very long time. I loved the way the author blended the bible history, Astrology, the ET connection, the history of the Sumerian culture and the Goddess issues together. It was BRILLIANT! Julie Bresciani was obviously inspired from above to combine historical research and draw on what felt like the akashic memory of the feminine. A real masterpiece.
