Summary: A VERY GOOD BOOK
Review: I enjoyed reading this book, and found myself becoming a part of the plot. An easy, enjoyable read. And If you want to read another book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.

Summary: Extremely well written love story.
Review: I had never read anything by Shana Abe before & almost didn't buy this because the cover was awful; i'm glad I did though. I was pleasantly suprised to find this book very well written. The charactes came to life & the story was a wonderful combination of romance, magic & intrigue. Also, the love scenes were steaming. I would have given the book 5 stars except for the fact that the ending wrapped up a little too quickly and the heroine was in denial a little too long. If she said "I can't" one more time, I would have thrown the book across the room. However, since the book was so well written, I'm going to try The Promise of Rain.

Summary: The Truelove Bride
Review: I have such little time to read - so when I do I really want to be engrossed completely. I loved this book. The prose was lyrical and quite hypnotic. Shana Abe did a great job developing a romantic relationship between Avalon and Marcus. I did not want this book to end.

Summary: A book worthy of an afternoon
Review: I liked this book very much because of the Hero, Marcus. He is driven by a curse that states that he must marry a fabled warrior maiden. He and his clan find this mythical maiden in Avalon but she wants nothing to do with any of it. She tries continually to tell him that she's not the maiden in the legend. That her destiny is of her own making and that Marcus isn't apart of it. Soon though she finds herself drawn not only to him but his people. The struggle for her love and her passion drives Marcus on until they conquer each other.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to others by the same author.

Summary: A Great Romance
Review: I read so many romances that very few really stand out for me sometimes but this one really did. I actually read it twice! SHana Abe writes so beautifully. I love her descriptions of things, and the emotions of the characters. I highly recommend the Truelove Bride!

Summary: Great Read
Review: I really enjoyed the book. It had a great plot, interesting paranormal abilities and wonderful characters. The heroine was in denial a little too long but came round to face her destiny. I didn't want to have it end.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Incredible!
Review: I think this was one of the best romances that i have ever read! Keeper Keeper Keeper! It was so tender and passionate too, and I've never read another heroine like Avalon. Marcus is great too, I wish he was mine! LOL!

Summary: Nice Romance--Quick Read.
Review: I thought that this was fairly well written. It is very like her other book, A Rose in Winter. Like the other novel, it had interesting characters and a superb plot, it also lacked the feeling of really being there. Set in the Highlands, I felt like I was in England. Abe lacked the descriptions of other Scottish romance novels, such as The Bride and The Wedding by Julie Garwood, that made me "feel" the Highland experience. The characters didn't really have a strong development either, it was like: she's hurt and wont ever marry, then she's okay with everything and marries him. I also wish Abe would have gone further in developing the secondary members, I find that some of my favorite romance novels have very strong supporting characters. Even with the negatives, the book was overall positive. All in all, I enjoyed this novel and thought it was a nice read. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fast, easy, fairly fulfilling romance novel.

Summary: What a lovely story!!
Review: I was immediately drawn in by Shana Abe's magical writing. She has so much power in her words. This is a love story that stays with you for days afterwards. It's a keeper for me. I thought the characters were intense and real despite the magic element and loved the romance between Avalon and Marcus. Plus, it's set in the Scottish highlands, my favorite location. This is one of the few books I plan to re-read. If you want a book that leaves you delighted and satisfied, this is the one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Breathtaking.
Review: I wish that all romance novels were as good as this one. I hope she writes more like this.
