Summary: Love Between Best Friends
Review: Congratulations Natalie Dunbar for an outstanding first novel. Best friends Ramon Richards and Mariah McCleary show us in their story how love can spark right among the best of friends. Ramon shows his support and love for Mariah after her fiancee decides to get cold feet. But the moment Ramon finally gets courage to express his true feelings to Mariah, her fears kick in and she finds it extrememly difficult to accept his expressions of love. But anyone reading this story will appreciate how well Ms Dunbar uses her talent in developing the love between Mariah and Ramon, along with the minor storylines of the secretary, the designer and the trail that Ramon is involved with all adds to a great story. Overall I enjoyed the entire book and look forward to many more by this author.

Summary: Keep 'em coming Ms. Dunbar!
Review: I could not put the book down! It demanded my attention until I was finished, and when I did finish I wanted to read another one by this same author. The story line was juicy and the characters vivid, although the main character took entirely too long to act on her feelings for Ramon. The scene descriptions were very, very alive and realistic. It is a must-read.

Summary: Natalie Dunbar comments on "Best of Friends"
Review: I'm still walking on air with all the excitement from getting this book published. The road to publication was a long one, but when you read "Best of Friends", I'm sure you'll think it was well worth the effort.

In this novel Mariah, a Detroit modeling agency owner, and Ramón, a lawyer, have been close friends since their early days in college. When Mariah is abandoned by her fiancé, Ramón helps her get to get over it and in the process, realizes his love for her. Then, he takes on the monumental task of convincing Mariah, a woman who has lost everyone she's ever loved, to surrender her heart to him, her flirtatious best friend.

I think that some of the most successful romantic relationships result from close friendships. I have had a close friendship become the most important and rewarding love relationship of my life.

I hope you'll add "Best of Friends", to your reading list. It was given a four star rating by "Romantic Times" and also comes highly recommended by BET/ARABESQUE author of "Forever Always", Jacquelin Thomas. You can read the entire review on the "Romantic Times" website, and Jacquelin Thomas' comments on my website.

Summary: Great Lovers/Best of Friends
Review: Mariah McCleary and Ramon Richards have been friends since college. After Mariah's devasting breakup with her fiancee, Ramon was right there by her side. When Ramon reveals how he really feels for her, Mariah doesn't want to except the fact that he really loves her.

Ramon is a very caring person. He is truly someone you can call a friend. He definitely wanted Mariah to be more than just his best friend. It took a tragedy to make Mariah realize she was really in love with Ramon. I like the characters in this book. They have stories of their own that could be told book of their own.Natalie Dunbar's first attempt at romance is definitely a good one. It was definitely worth reading.

Summary: I want a friend like Ramon, Oh Uh, I do!!
Review: Ok, this was a first by Dunbar and it seems to me the girl's got talent. I fell in love with the plot of the story, truly a classic! Mariah and Ramon had sparks flying everywhere, it's a wonder what took them so long to figure it out! And that Ramon was something else. An African American/Puerto Rican mix, some might even change their standards after reading about Ramon! A must read!

Summary: Natalie Dunbar Comments on "Best of Friends"
Review: Thanks for your interest in my debut novel, "Best of Friends". Do good friends make the best lovers or mates? As a woman who is married to a man who was my best friend, I'm simply thrilled with the heartfelt and enthusiastic responses I've received. On the editorial level, from "Romantic Times": "A talented writer, Natalie Dunbar creates a realistic portrayal of the ups and downs of a friendship evolving into the physical and emotional intimacy shared by lovers." Pam Dungee, "Romantic Times"

From the "Romance in Color" website: "Ms. Dunbar is at her best when she delves into the minds of her character exposing their internal conflicts, and it is her look into Ramón's very soul that makes him the fascinating character he is. There are moments of agony when Ms. Dunbar lays Ramón naked before the reader, and we are forced to see the sensitive, vulnerable but proud man. As a male reader, I can't help but feel Ramón's torture and his pain." Wayne Jordan, "Romance in Color"

I hope you'll take a look at "Best of Friends". Let me know what you think.

Summary: Good Book
Review: The age old question, could a man and woman just be friends? Mariah and Ramon were good friends. They were there for each other through thick and thin. Ramon helped Mariah cope with some downfalls in her life. He also held a secret that he loved her more than just a friend.

Natalie did a good job with showing the relationship between Mariah and Ramon. Although I felt it drag a little with Mariah trying to figure out what her true feelings for Ramon. The secondary characters also help bring the book together with another issue of interracial relationships. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it.
