Summary: After Midnight
Review: Back cover reads:
A POWERFUL MAN CAN MAKE A WOMAN STRONGER...
OR BREAK HER HEART.
Nicole Seymour had lost at love before--a first marriage that was such a fiasco she never even had a proper wedding night. The Kane Lombard strolled down a South Carolina beach and into her heart. Here their pasts seemed very far away, and all that mattered was discovering was how much they cared for each other. But both were keeping secrets. "Beach bum" Kane was actually a wealthy Houston oil man, whose family owned the tabloid newspaper that was digging up dirt of Nikki's U.S. Congressman brother. Nikki, the laughing, innocent woman of Kane's dreams, was really the elegant, glittering Charleston socialite sister of his bitterest enemy. All too soon lies and political intrigue made them angry opponents. Their passion would become a two edged sword-a hunger that brought them together and a searing pain that drove them apart. And Nikki Seymour would become a woman in love with the one man she should never trust.

Summary: Don't bother
Review: I can usually enjoy Diana Palmer's stories but why do they always have to include the innocent virgin and the arrogant male? This makes it a little too unrealistic. As the other reviewers stated, this book has way too much going on and not enough interaction with the main characters.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: not her best
Review: I read Diana Palmer for a easy no brains love story this was not it. To many plots and relationships going on and not enough on the main couple. I give it 2 stars because its Diana Palmer.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Ok book. But travel research needs to be done.
Review: I was disappointed when reading this book. I am an avid Diana Palmer fan, but this story kept jumping around, and not enough on the two main characters. Usually, Mrs. Palmer has me hooked by the second chapter, and can not wait to see what happens next. With, After Midnight, I kept looking to see how many more chapters were left, so I could start another book. Hopefully, A Hero's Kiss (to be published later), will be much better.

Summary: Ok book. But travel research needs to be done.
Review: The plot was ok but Ms. Palmer nees to look at a map if she's never been to the area she is writitng about. They were going to take the jet from Charleston to Seabrook Island? Ummmm you can drive to the island itself in about 15-20 minutes from downtown Charleston. It would take you 30 minutes to get to an airport that would be completely out of the way.

Summary: It's a re-print
Review: This book is a re-print. The original was written under the name Susan Kyle. The storyline is passable but it's got too many sub-plots happening at the same time, which sorts of distracts the reader from the main plot.
