Rating: Summary: Collecting bed sores and enriching the vet . Review: For all you cynics who belive that romance is dead , perhaps it was not your partner . After all you had been working hard that week , and even if it was , how can you be so sure ,that checking into a motel as mr and mrs smith for two hours , was in any way suspicious . Dear old Barbara would put your mind at rest.and in these perfumed pages ,our old hearts are set to flutter as love blossoms . First its a good old fashioned tale of passion and hatred , between Lord Cockbury the seventh earl of undergarb ,and his fiery half gypsy half aubergine dentist . The tale ends as you would expect from such romantic fiction ,with the two lovers .fighting a naked duel on the Westminster bridge at midnight ,with only a few out of date tomatoes dying in the snow along with the lovers . Sob sob I can not continue its all too heart renching . My only complaint with these stories ,is that far too often the villain of the piece ,turns out to be wearing thermal underwear ,all the better for hiding tropical fish I suppose .
Rating: Summary: Give me a break! Review: I was stuck on a plane for 14 hours and this was the only book the flight attendant could find for me. To put it mildly...THIS BOOK BLOWS!
Rating: Summary: A trilogy worth reading. Review: If you are a Barbara Cartland fun , I strongly recoment that you read it.Thalia, Penelope and Alisa,Illouka and the three Earls will travel you back to the eigtheen century where love will eventualy find it's way.Music from the heart,I think is the best of the three novels.(FOR ROMANTIC SOULS ONLY! )
Rating: Summary: Barbara Cartland has once again answered the heart's cries. Review: In her THREE COMPLETE NOVELS OF ROYALTY AND ROMANCE, Barbara Cartland has once again answered our cries(the cries of her readers' hearts). As always, Dame Barbara tugs at the heart strings by listening to our deepest desires and by helping us to continue to believe in love, the most magical and strongest force in existence. With ease, she pulls us willingly into her enchantingly delightful web of royalty and romance.
In A WITCH'S SPELL, nymphlike Hermia discovers love has a power all of its own and falls for the devilishly handsome Marquis od Deverville.
Beautiful Trina attempts to conceal her true identity from the personable Marquis of Clevedon for sake of her mother's happiness and learns love has its very own revealing music in A SONG OF LOVE.
And finally in REVENGE OF THE HEART, intriguing Nadia survives danger on all fronts to find a most healing love with the Marquis of Buckwood.
These three complete novels, bound as one, are lively, entertaing reading. The words seem to bounce from the pages and into our very hearts, echoing our own desires. With THREE COMPLETE NOVELS OF ROYALTY AND ROMANCE, Barbara Cartland is giving the world what she has continuously given it for over six hundred novels. She is giving it the best.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: In this novels they take you to the middle ages. In each one they show you that love is possible to find even if it seems one of the most impossible things ever. On the first novel called "fugitive of love" Salena who is the main character on the story has to marry someone she doesn't want to, but she has no other option since it has been her father's choice, so she tries to runaway to the sea, and there she finds the love of her life...I loved this book, in fact I think is one of the best books I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: Three complete novels of Barbara Cartland Review: It was cute as usally. Typical of a Barbara Cartland book. If you read Barbara Cartland book before you will realised that she is an author that stresses love will conquer all philosophy. Unfortunately, she tends to write very little and tends to be brief to the point. These stories are very consise and moving for your emotions. You will not put it down until you are done. But by the time you are done reading it you will likely say that is it. Where is the rest of it. These stories are great but most of the time it leaves the reader wanting to read more about it even though it is the ending. These stories are way to short but they always gurantee you a happy and charming ending.
Rating: Summary: PINK BLOOMERS . THE OVER HOT WASHING MACHINE . Review: One has to marvel at the prolific writing skills of dear Barbara . I once owned a horse that refused to eat its oats , but would gnaw cheerfully ,on a Barbara Cartland book ,then tap dance for hours ,with a rose between its teeth .The sheer romance of her work enthralls , even those of us with four feet .In this delightful book we are transported to the world of Dukes and there Coconut carvings . The Duke who married a fire engine ,never laugh at a bowl of stewed prunes , and a touch of an unemployed town crier . All three are little pebbles in the hillwalkers boot . OH I do wish Henry would stop pestering the gardeners daughter .
Rating: Summary: Nice. Review: REALLY NICE
Rating: Summary: This is the worst romance book I have ever read Review: The book starts out with promise, all of the stories seem to. By the end of all the stories, the woman can't even talk without stammering and they "magically fall in love" if you want to read a romance book just to laugh at how stupid it is, read this
Rating: Summary: For the romantic at heart (cynics please abstain) Review: The first time I read a Barbara Cartland book, I was transported, as she would write, like an angel up to heaven! Her stories are a combination of the "Contesse de Ségur" books I loved as a child and the "Angélique" movies I still love as a woman. I love the way she writes. Perhaps I am old-fashioned, but her tales of innocence and tenderness touch me on a fundamental level.
