Rating: Summary: I JUST DISCOVERED THIS SERIES Review: A friend of mine told me to read THE AGREEMENT, and I did with reservations. Thank you, thank you, Mary for introducing me to Ms. O'Banyon's book. I liked the story and the love between Lauren and Garret. The book is deep in plot and Ms. O'Banyon took me to Texas in the early days. Since this is a series book, I have bought the other three. I just finished The Wild One, and I loved it. I am ready to read The Half-Breed and I know it will be good too. So far, I have not been disappointed. I will definately buy all of Ms. O'Banyon's books.
Rating: Summary: I was so happy to discover this was a series! Review: Constance O'Banyon is one of my favorite authors, after Nora Roberts. I read THE AGREEMENT and it is WONDERFUL!!! I fell in love with Lauren and Garret's story and didn't want to let them go. Then to my surprise, I looked in the back of the book and dsiscovered I didn't have to let them go. Three other authors had written about the McBride family. Elaine Barbieri wrote the first book THE WILD ONE, and it's a really good book--and Lauren is in her book. THE HALF-BREED is the next in the series. While it was a really good book, Lauren and Garret were not in it. The third is my fovorite, of course, THE AGREEMENT! THE LONER is by Evelyn Rogers and puts a wonderful ending to the series, and Lauren and Garret are throughout her book. If you want a good read, settle back with all four of these books--but read them in order. And I promise you when you get the THE AGREEMENT, you will be hooked.
Rating: Summary: Secret Fires - The Agreement Review: Constance O'Banyon's "The Agreement" is a dynamite continuation of the Secret Fires series from Leisure. First was Elaine Barbieri's story about Tanner McBride in The Wild One, then Bobbi Smith's tale of Chase McBride in The Half Breed, and now we get the daughter Lauren's story in The Agreement. Garret Lassiter is one great hunk and Lauren and Garret's forced, arranged marriage makes for lots of tension and excitement! I can't wait for the final book in August from Evelyn Rogers - The Loner!
Rating: Summary: Best Western romance I've read in ages! Review: I admit, I've always been a major Constance O'Banyon fan, but this book has got to be her best ever. Lauren McBride and Garret Lassiter are a fabulous pair and I found the story line riveting and very moving. This is the third book in the "Secret Fires" series that began with "The Wild One" by Elaine Barbieri, followed by "The Half-Breed" by Bobbi Smith. After "The Agreement" I understand comes "The Loner" by Evelyn Rogers. I love all of these authors and will treasure all four books in this series. DON'T MISS OUT ON THESE BOOKS!
Rating: Summary: Obanyon just gets better with each book!! Review: I am a fan of this author and have been for over ten years. I have read all of her books(some of them many times. I love, love, THE AGREEMENT. I loved the story of the brothers and the family and how they overcame hardship. But most of all I loved Lauren and Garret's story. Their love was so intense it almost burned the paper. I can't wait until Mrs. O'banyon's next book comes out. Until then, I'll just reread The Agreement
Rating: Summary: Secrets and cunning drive this book!!! Review: I am a man, and I liked this book even if the cover was a turn off for me. My aunt urged me to forget about the cover and read it. Aunt Martha, you were right--this book is awsome. I know more about Texas than I ever thought to learn. I like this author, I'm not saying I would buy all her books, only her westerns. The Agreement is my kind of book, no matter what the cover suggested.

Rating: Summary: Lauren and Garret walk right off the pages of the book Review: I am amazed and impressed with THE AGREEMENT. I have read many O'Banyon books and like them all. Although ONCE UPON A TIME is my all time favorite, Ms. O'Banyon brought Lauren and Garret alive on the pages of her book. The McBride series is more than a series. I read all four authors and loved them all. In order they are, Elaine Barbieri's THE WILD ONE--Bobbi Smith's, THE HALF-BREED--THE AGREEMENT by Constance O'Banyon--THE LONER, by Evelyn Rogers. I loved all four books, THE AGREEMENG, of course, being my favorite. Good job ladies. Wish you would do another series together. Any chance you might do the children?
Rating: Summary: A reader Review: I am trying to break into the writing field so I have been studying different authors. THE AGREEMENT was on the bottom of my pile of "to read". It should have been on top. Constance O'Banyon is my idea of who to study if you want to read the best! Anyway, about the plot, Lauren MacBride belonges to a family from hell, at least her dad and stepmom are. She has some neat brother's though. But you'll want to hear about the rancher next door. Garret Lassiter has loved Lauren since she was young. She goes away and comes back a woman and he's been faithfully waiting for her all that time. I don't want to give too much of the story away, but it is a tender and sweet love. You will love this story.
