Summary: Emotional & Real!
Review: I agree with everything that Denise said in her comments on this book. This story is not your usual love story yet it needed to be told. Men do go through a lot of drama as women when it comes to affairs of the heart. We just didn't realize it until this book came out. It is a great read and will stir up alot of emotional baggage carried by both men and women but from a male perspective. Thanks WF for this great story and I am looking forward to the sequel.

Summary: 6 Days In January is Outstanding!!
Review: I can honestly say that I read this book in one day! It is was so powerful, moving and realistic!!
As women, we have all experience some degree of pain the main character endured, but to hear it from a man's perspective is profound. If you want to understand the male psyche, I beg you to buy this book; it will answer every question about why men do what they do. Men are people just like us.
Job well do W.F.C!!

Summary: Be Open....
Review: I met William Cooper this past Saturday at a book discussion in New York BEFORE I read his book. After attending the discussion, hearing his views on questions from the audience, I decided to purchase his book. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. '6 Days' is such a phenomenal read about a brother's inner feelings, that you will not want it to end. Getting caught up in love, Mr. Cooper illustrates what men don't do - communicate their feelings. Yes, sometimes the ones that do are labeled as soft, but at least they communicate. This work of art is truly that - a work of art in rare form. Mr. Cooper's display of emotional erotica is truly a turn on as well....brothers, take notes!

Keep up the fantabulous work, my brother and I cannot wait until your next one!!

Summary: One Of The Best Books Ever Written On Black Love
Review: I ran into Mr. Cooper on the A Train handing out flyers on his book, and when he told me the content, I folded my arms. Then I saw the book on the streets and picked it up. I loved it! I laughed, fanned myself, cried, got real angry at William MCCall for being so naive, dumb and unique; I went through every emotion. Women, this is a classic in the making. We've been through so much with men that sometimes we fail to see what we may do. His self-introspection with insecurity caused me to look at my own, and I felt a little guilty. Men should read this and realize that All of us want to hear your pain so that we can understand you.

This was an extreme pleasure to read, I recommend book this to EVERYONE! I can't wait to see it in ESSENCE.

Summary: Finally! The Truth from a Man!
Review: I read the back of this book and almost put it back on the shelf. Sure glad I didn't. I have never read anything like it! In my opinion, this was by far the most revealing book ever written by a man concerning his feelings. Zane called it a testimonial. After reading about the joy and pain of William McCall, I'd have to agree. If this book doesn't get award consideration, I'd like to know why. An absolutely incredible debut novel, and a joy to read!

Review: I read this book in 3-4 days- while working 2 jobs.I think that Mr.William Cooper is definitely a breath of "fresh air" to the world of reading. The subject the Mr.Cooper chose to write about is one that is often thought of but never spoken "too loudly" about.Thank you for writing this book and I cannot wait to read the next one

Summary: Just Sweat and Tears
Review: Many people jump at any chance given to go out into the dating scene and sometimes those of us who sit back and look on at those who are in the midst of all the action tend to be a little envious. Two thumbs up for the author delivering the truth about how hurtful dating can actually be. But the clincher is that it deals with a mans pain.

For all you 'Waiting to Exhale' fans you need to see the turn around because it is an eye opener. Yes men hurt and cry and long to be loved and William Fredrick Cooper opens up a new world that women need to look into and men need to open up to. I strongly recommend this book whether you want to buy it as a gift or your a book lover yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Looking for Mrs. Right
Review: Men don't cry. All men are dogs. It is a man's nature to stray. These are some of the statements that women make concerning men. But after reading 6 Days in January, I will say there are some good men out there especially if they are anything like William McCall. The story begins with William meeting his girlfriend, Della, for dinner to discuss their relationship. Once they get past a small indiscretion, all seems to be going well until they get back to Della's apartment. During their love making, William commits an even bigger indiscretion and Della kicks him out of her apartment and out of her life. This begins the soul-searching exercise that William takes himself through over a course of 6 days in the month of January.

All of his life, William has been labeled as weak, soft and even gay. He was publicly dissed by his first girlfriend because her friends didn't think he was man enough. William meets a young lady named Andrea, who seems to appreciate his sensitivity and he falls deeply in love with her. The only problem is that she is not free to love him in return. William pours his heart and soul into his relationship only to receive very little in return. Opening himself up to remember the pain and tears caused in past relationships, William reflects on how those experiences formed him into the man he is today.

As William becomes more successful in his career, he is failing miserably in his relationships. He starts to think that maybe women are not into a man with a sensitive nature, one who is willing to put his lady before himself. A man who is willing to sacrifice the time it takes to make the relationship work. All the women seem to appreciate that he is a good man, telling him "don't change", but they don't seem to want to be in a relationship with him. This prompted him to change his attitude about relationships. He started entering relationships purely for physical pleasure instead of for love. During his self-reflection, he realizes he is not satisfied with the way things are and decides to listen to his heart. But is it too late?

The debut novel by William Frederick Cooper seems semi-autobiographical. There is a really moving prayer at the end of the novel that will melt even the coldest of hearts. The approach of the book is different because the tables have been turned and it is a brother who is seeking true love. He presents love from a man's perspective and the result is truly refreshing. There is talk that we will see William McCall again in a future novel. I hope that his prayer will be answered.

Summary: Priceless Piece of Literature!!!
Review: Six Days In January is an absolutely incredible novel! I read his story in Sistergirls.com, and have been eagerly awaiting this novel. And I was not disappointed. This is a must read for both men and women, because it shows you that men do really have emotions and feelings. This book should be publiccized widely, because of its style. I've never read anything like it before. It touched every feeling I had in my body, much like Terry McMillan did with "Waiting To Exhale." We need to see more books like this. I wish I could give it 10 stars!
