Rating: Summary: Leanne Does it Again Review: I received Leanne Banks' previous book, Some Girls Do, by mistake and figured one day I would just breeze through it. Well, I did read it but realized it contained a litte more substance than many of this genre and liked it so much I ordered When She's Bad. Leanne takes much-used cliches and makes same old fresh. It also helps that the added secondary characters prevent the storyline from getting stuck in the rehashing of "we're not suited to each other -- how can I ever trust again" rut throughout the entire book. So kick out the kids and husband for an afternoon, sit back and enjoy.
Rating: Summary: enjoyable contemporary romance Review: In Houston, Delilah Montague cannot get any sleep because her next door neighbor makes a racket at night. She owns the exclusive Spa Demay that she inherited from her recently deceased elderly companion Howard "Cash" Bradford. Working extremely hard to prove herself, Delilah knows that most of her employees, Cash's daughter, and her patrons believe she earned this business by being bed prone as Cash's candy. She knows the truth though she vowed not to reveal to anyone. If Delilah thought her world was complicated enough, she soon finds Cash left her with one more problem. Apparently Viagra worked a miracle and Cash sired a baby that has just been dumped on Delilah. She obtains the help of her neighbor ethical attorney Benjamin Huntington III in dealing with the infant. As they become acquainted they fall in love, but his family rejects her as unsuitable for the brother of a future state politician. Ben does not care, but Delilah does. Readers will enjoy this contemporary romance that focuses on the maxim not to judge a book by its cover (figuratively as this cover seems apropos). The story line is well written with ironically readers, Ben, and the support cast drawing conclusions about Delilah that fail to hold up under closer scrutiny. Though she and Ben seem to have no personal issues except as they relate to one another, fans will take WHEN SHE'S BAD to the bank as a fine read. Harriet Klausner

Rating: Summary: A Must Read Book Review: Leanne Banks does it again. Delilah doesn't know what hit her when she recuses Benjamin from trouble. Ms. Banks does a great job with the other characters in the book and I love all of the different story lines and the way she intertwines them with Delilah and Benjamin. This is a great book. I couldn't put it down. Look for Delilah's dictums throughout the book.
Rating: Summary: Great Romance Review: Leanne Banks does it again. I loved the story of Delilah and Benjamin. Delilah doesn't know how her life will be turned upside down after rescuing Benjamin in the parking garage. The way Ms. Banks intertwines the other characters in the book together with Delilah and Benjamin is brilliant. You will not beable to put the book down once you start to read it. I can't wait to read Lori Jean's story.

Rating: Summary: Leanne does it again! Review: Leanne Banks is back with her second single title from Warner Forever and she hits the road running with the story of sexy Delilah Montague. Delilah had a smile that opened doors and a body that stopped traffic. She was raised first by her mother Sunny, who entered wet t-shirt contests to earn grocery money and then later by her evangelist father whose Bible thumping made Delilah feel less than worthy of love. When she met millionaire Howard Bradford, her life changed for the better. Howard used Delilah as "arm candy" to draw attention away from his impotence. But he also taught her about business and put her in charge of his excusive spa. Delilah flourished under his tutelage and after Howard died, she became the majority stockholder. No one believed that Delilah knew anything about business and rumors flew about how she'd "really" attained her position at the spa. No matter what, she couldn't shed her bad girl image. Now, with Howard dead, she has to run the spa, honor a deathbed promise she made to Howard, and deal with her new neighbor, Benjamin Huntington III, who does home improvements in the middle of the night. It doesn't matter that he's tall, dark and hunky or that he's a member of a prominent Texas family or that he's probably got more integrity in his little finger than most men have in their whole body. She's not interested. Or is she? When She's Bad has something for everyone - a bad girl, a rich boy, a baby and a dog, a girl with Clark Gable ears, a reluctant politician, blackmail, love, scandal, sex, and did I mention love? Each chapter starts with one of "Delilah's Dictums," clever maxims that will strike a chord and have you laughing out loud. The characters are lovable and you will find yourself reaching for your own champagne cocktail and M&Ms as you get lost in the pages of this hilarious romance that's full of passion and fun. Delilah is a woman that a kinda-bad-girl reader can fall in love with.
Rating: Summary: Raunchy reading Review: This book read like a Harlequin but with a fancier cover. Bad girl meets rich guy next door and sparks fly even though both are suprised to be attracted to each other. Throw in a baby (who is allergic to disposable diapers--egads), a dead sugardaddy and his jealous daughter, a greedy blackmailer, and there's the story. There are some sideplots with an abused divorcee who finds love with a hunky younger man who doesn't know how to read, an extended family of siblings all fathered by different men, etc. The spice level on the saucy language needed to be turned down because it became distracting after awhile. Okay for a mindless beach read.

Rating: Summary: Ms. Banks Is Back With Another Good Read!!! Review: We briefly met Delilah Montague in Ms. Banks first book "Some Girls Do" now she has her own story and it's just as good as the previous read and cominbed laughs, romance, mystery and quirky characters into a very entertaining read. Delilah has a bad girl reputation but at heart she is really a nice girl who keeps her promises and eventually these promises get her into trouble. After the death of her friend Cash she promises that she will look out for his daughter Lilly, run the spa, and keep his secret about their personal life. Delilah never slept with Cash. Now all of her good intentions backfire on her. She is now responsible for Lilly which is turning out to be a spoiled brat, a new baby that is really Cash's, and now a blackmailer to boot. If all of this is not enough she is drawn to her nextdoor neighbor Benjamin Huntingdon who just so happens to be a member of one of the prominate local families. Problem is he makes her feel things that she knows is not in the best interest of him and his family. Ben has just come back home after leaving on the East Coast and he has lost everything that he once thought was important. Then he meets his neighbor after she saves his bacon and he re-thinks the way he sees people and his place in life. He has now found the perfect woman for him, now he just has to prove to her that he is willing to spend his life with Dee despite her "bad-girl" image. This book was very fun to read. Ms. Banks has a real talent for creating quirky likeable characters and at the same time not loosing sight of the plot of the story or the path that her characters take. Again she manages to create some nice secondary charcters and both couples really add to the telling of the story at the same time having their own storylines that are fun to read. Ms. Banks is a great author and you will be guaranteed an fun read if you pick up one of her stories
